Re: Labour Watch
Anyway, I get a small amount of universal credit despite working full time on quite a lot above the average wage purely because housing costs in London are so mad and kept high because so many people can get access to benefits to pay the rwnts asked. The person who actually benefits is my private landlord but obviously better to cut benefits for the poorest than try and address something like that.

I've only caught a few clips, but he appears to be getting better at sticking to his point and keeping it sharp. If his message is to cut through, then he needs to keep getting better at this and do less of the meandering.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 11:09 amJust seen that the new target of the right was on QT last night - anyone tune in?Long slender neck wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 4:44 pm Just watched a Garys Economics video and he says Labour will fail because although they're being 'sensible' with the economy they aren't tackling inequality and are making the same mistakes the democrats did. Given her strong views on this, I guess Shabana Mahmood will be resigning as a point of principle.

I also get irritated by his meanderings. But you can't work in the Citeh and avoid things that affect your powers of concentration in later years.Dunners wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 12:14 pmI've only caught a few clips, but he appears to be getting better at sticking to his point and keeping it sharp. Re: Labour Watch
What could be better for economic growth than investing UK tax payers money on a shiny new airport, conveniently located 5,000 miles outside Birmingham?

Re: Labour Watch
Think within a decade we’ll have a party that’s primarily focused on advocating for Islam and Pakistani/Bengali issues.
We already have a handful of independents who were elected basically for that purpose.

Tower Hamlets is basically run that way already and we have a handful of MPs elected as independents on that platform and another handful of constituencies that came close to electing independents for that purpose

They were elected to represent their constituents, can you please provide an example policy from the platform on which they stood that advocated "for Islam and Pakistani/Bengali issues"?Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Sat Mar 29, 2025 1:13 pm Think within a decade we’ll have a party that’s primarily focused on advocating for Islam and Pakistani/Bengali issues.

Re: Labour Watch
Support for the Palestinian cause is the obvious answer. I doubt the constituencies they were elected to have large diasporas of Palestinians.Jeremy Bentham wrote: ↑Sat Mar 29, 2025 1:51 pmThey were elected to represent their constituents, can you please provide an example policy from the platform on which they stood that advocated "for Islam and Pakistani/Bengali issues"?Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Sat Mar 29, 2025 1:13 pm Think within a decade we’ll have a party that’s primarily focused on advocating for Islam and Pakistani/Bengali issues.

Re: Labour Watch
The worrying truth about that is that within a decade, if a party of that nature was born , we have no means of preventing them winning.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Sat Mar 29, 2025 1:13 pm Think within a decade we’ll have a party that’s primarily focused on advocating for Islam and Pakistani/Bengali issues.

Genius level wumming, enticing both lefties and righties in to take a bite.

Good to see Zara Sultana supporting the new airport, better a new airport in Pakistan than a third runway in the UK which she opposes (Net Zero and all that).
Good to see Stella Creasy in favour too. My barber in Walthamstow, who's from Kashmir, is very pleased about this (lovely bloke, shop at the end of Manor Rd, highly recommended).

A new airport is probably the least the UK can do after the Empire stripped $65 Trillion in wealth from India/Pakistan/Bangladesh.

Re: Labour Watch
So the Brits love curries
AND it is produced in the UK and consumed in the UK.
So what's your problem?
