Legendary former O’s goalkeeper Shwan Jalal is on their first team coaching staff
And don’t forget, that 6-1 smashing in pre-season set off a chain of events culminating in their cup win

I used to like Newcastle in the Keegan era. Sadly, the club has now broken ground in the PL greed era by being owned by the Saudi Government - a bastion of sportswashing & human rights abuses. I hope this is the first & last trophy they win under the current owners.
I totally agree.

They also force a poor Magpie called Monty to perform as their mascot for zero pay every home game. It’s time to end animal suffering and exploitation!

My 3 year old grandson is currently being brainwashed into supporting Newcastle by his dad.

Oftentimes, when he sees a Magpie or just the black and white colours sitting together he spontaneously breaks out into a chorus of "Toon, toon; black and white army". I of course join in so would like to claim credit and joy for the cup win even though I secretly wanted the Mighty Reds to win.
