Syria Watch

Post by faldO »

Syria is going the way many predicted it would after the fall of Bashar al-Assad and the arrival of Syria's new Islamist rulers, led by interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa, a former leader of the Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

Hundreds of people, including civilians, women and children, killed in often horrific circumstances.

Hardly a peep from the media about this.

Alawites, Christians, Druze, Kurds and Islamists plus major involvement from USA, Russia, Turkey and the usual Middle East players. This should be sorted out in no time.

And yet not a peep out of Gold, Bonio or George M about such atrocities either.

Give the usual suspects some time, Dhansak, they first have to check if any Famine, Apartheid or Genocide is involved.

Two of the UK's weirdest political podcasters met at the beginning of February with "fighter turned President Ahmed al-Sharaa" to reminisce about their respective involvements in Iraq.

Four weeks later and it's all gone pear-shaped.
