Re: Swindon (H) Match / Exiles
That's embarrassing, Swindon playing exhibition football and Brill, well I dunno what he was doing there.
We look #tinpot
Ross has to take the full blame for this, appalling tactics

Re: Swindon (H) Match / Exiles
Unless he can mastermind a second half miracle that's his interim review done in my book. Going back to the 5-3-2 has been our undoing.

That Yates lad has caught my eye before. Very promising young player.

Ultra defensive starting formation. Backfired spectacularly today, I'm afraid.
On paper, that's our strongest squad available at the moment. Had a feeling, Swindon were going to do us today.

Re: Swindon (H) Match / Exiles
Set out the side with a losers' mentality in true "little Leyton Orient" fashion. That's the result. Indefensible.
Re: Swindon (H) Match / Exiles
Sad thing is, the scoreline doesn't even flatter them.
Do we have the worst defence in the League now?
Need to change it up at half time. Points are gone but FFS let's have some self respect.
Ross had been slightly ahead of my expectation going into today but the formation change was a huge own goal. Just why?

Swindon had 66% possession. 8 Shots to our 3. 4 on target to our 1. 6 corners to our zilch. We are winning the foul count, though, 8 to 1.

Re: Swindon (H) Match / Exiles
Beyond awful. None of the players have a clue where they are meant to be. The ‘wing backs’ are in no mans land, normally 2 on 1. The central midfielder haven’t won a tackle. Wilkinson couldn’t hold his dinner down and Brill should have done better for both goals.
This could be 5 or 6. Ross looks completely out of his depth.

Re: Swindon (H) Match / Exiles
Total embarrassment. A reversion to a back five that's failed to prevent 3 goals, a midfield that's non existent and a team lacking in any ideas. Swindon at least yard faster with their no. 7 totally bossing the game.

Re: Swindon (H) Match / Exiles
Well that was terrible
This could end up 6-0 if something drastic doesn’t change in second half.
Swindon out classing in every department
What’s the bl*ody point in playing 5 defenders if you’re going to ship 2+ goals every match.

Giving away 66% possession at home says it all..We don’t even look like getting a cornerEat The Rich wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2019 3:53 pm Swindon had 66% possession. 8 Shots to our 3. 4 on target to our 1. 6 corners to our zilch. We are winning the foul count, though, 8 to 1.

Re: Swindon (H) Match / Exiles
When it comes to it Ross doesn't have the confidence to go out there and impose himself and it filters through in the tactics and approach. He's run scared of the opposition today rather than going out to try and beat them.
That's the classic sign of someone who isn't suited to the top job imo. No shame in that, just some people are better suited in a support role and for me he's one of them.
I'd like to think this could work as a reverse Jonah and it can be quoted back to me in an hour or so as we go 4-3 up. I think it unlikely though somehow.
Swindon #30 has tore our backline a new one today. Reality check for those who thought we have a top 6 squad, the step up in quality from NL is clear as day out there.
