"Prime Minister Keir Starmer says he's ready to put UK peacekeeping troops in Ukraine if and when the war ends."
Heh. Good ol' Slippery Starmer.

Re: Labour Watch
Following on from Reeves blagging up her CV now the Business Secretary who claimed for years he was a solicitor but never actually passed the trainee level.

Re: Labour Watch
Sounds like an honest mistake.
Not quite on the scale of shaking off your secret service security detail and jumping on a plane to Italy to attend a party thrown by the son of a former KGB operative.
Or indeed appointing that Charlotte lassie to the Lords for no apparent reason.

Re: Labour Watch
At last a policy from SurKeith I am able to agree with and which differentiates Labour from being the same as all the rest.
"British negotiators are to propose a scheme which would allow 18-30 year olds from the EU to live and work in the UK for two years, with the opportunity to extend for one year.
The scheme would offer the same freedom to British citizens in the EU."

Re: Labour Watch
What's all this Rachel Reeves falsifying her CV and now the business secretary Johnathan Reynolds claiming he's a solicitor when he's never qualified. I thought it was supposed to be the Tories who were the liars . It just goes to prove they are both two cheeks of the same arse .

They actually rejected this last year, as did the Tories. Seemed a good idea when Germany proposed it.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 10:51 am At last a policy from SurKeith I am able to agree with and which differentiates Labour from being the same as all the rest.

Seems a great idea. Just need to drop the time limit - or extend it to 10 years, maybe - and it'll be superb.Dohnut wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 7:35 pmThey actually rejected this last year, as did the Tories. Re: Labour Watch
Overseas aid to be cut by 40% just before Starmer sees Trump. Going on defence spending. Funny that. The sucking up begins.
From Jerk to Knee Jerk in one easy step.
But on a positive note, they are implementing ideas put forward by the last Government who never got round to do it. 21 of the 35 measures were already announced by the last Government prior to the election. Progress none the less.

Proper boner inducing stuff for the likes of Donut and his ilk. Less money on the bloody foreigners, more on big guns and tanks here.
