In normal circumstances the only time we get a ref with Premier League experience is when they've f*cked up and been sent to League One as punishment.

I may be a sceptic but think the only reason that var is used in FA cup is to take away any advantage from non PL teams.
Most games against lower league and PL teams results in a physicality not the norm in the PL and sometimes is an advantage for the non PL.
As they want a showpiece final rather than the magic of the cup all is done to preserve that so VAR at prem grounds is used which i think has to be paid for and at non Prem grounds premier league refs are used to balance the books in their favour.
I find it impossible that impartiality can be gauranteed when on first name terms with players over ones theyve never heard of.
The only one from Orient who is probably on his radar is Ritchie.

This ref probably hates these Premier league primadonnas and has been called all sorts by them on a regular basis. If anything, our players will have the advantage in never having pissed him off previously.

Yes , indeed he might be . However being a Premiership standard referee I hope the officiating is a cut above what we’re used to . We have already seen too many bad referees at Orient over the years. Last Saturday was a good example
