Should have had a pen imo. Better start but Cooper and Happe are a nervy pairing at the back.

Cooper Is fourth choice center back for a reason really, solid squad player but you wouldn't want him starting every week

Think that's the difference two injuries to key players makes, need a few extra reinforcements we weren't planning on now

Got in some good positions but even our best players were sloppy and looked tired. Stockport are a solid side. It hurts but it happens. Onto the next

It had to come to an end some time, and beaten by a very good side, but we were very flat and offered little against a very organised defence. Not the end of the world - still 6th.

Tight game. Stockport bossed us first half without creating that much and their goal was a gift. We gave it a good go second half but they defended well and rode their luck when needed - could have had at least one pen.

Here are my thoughts

1 We looked as if we wouldnt score even if the game went on till midnight

2 the ref was awful. You dont see me criticizing refs, but this one was atrocious

3 Our passing was poor. so many passes were underhit, or overhit or slightly in front of the target or slightly behind etc

4 The injuries have caught up with us

5 The Stockport player handling the ball in the area near the end was a cert pen...the ref bottled it big time. Ive seen a close up replay, and its a stonewall pen. Anywhere else on the pitch, ref would have given a free kick for that, but he bottled it. We needed a little lucky moment today

Shows how desperate we have been and are still for another goal scoring forward.

Stockport deserved to win that. They managed the game incredibly well. Sometimes the other team just do a number on you. One of the best sides I’ve seen all season in terms of discipline and defensive tightness.

Ref looked like a work experience kid. Couldn’t keep up with the game and within 15 mins both sides were taking the p*ss out of him as he clearly had no authority over the game.

It was a very good run & had to end sometime
Just not at it today, misplaced passes/poor balls all afternoon.
We need to strengthen
Defensive midfield, we were poor today
Probably another centre half
Another forward
That’s about it, need 3 more in the building

We did alright with a few goals elsewhere. I’d settle for still being in the playoffs

the run had to come to an end, we need probs a centre back and a winger and we should still be in for playoffs

Disappointing, but I still think that with a few additions we can stay in the race for a Play Off place.

Seems to lack the basis skills you would expect of a professional footballer.
