Spurs watch

Post by Currywurst and Chips »

It’s been a rough few months for the contingent of our fan base who secretly/openly support Spurs

Speaking as a closeted Arsenal fan it’s been quite fun to watch

Got a question for you lot. I haven't been an orient fan for that long (started supporting the os in January 2022 under kenny jackett) What percentage of our fanbase do u reckon are just spurs, arsenal, west ham fans in disguise. I know that the daggers have a lot of wes tham fans but surely as a club we are big enough to not have a lot of those fans

Think it’s circa 10% on here and maybe 15-20% at a match day

I refuse to believe that somebody watched Jackett-ball and decided “yup, this is the club for me”

The first few games I attended in the 60s were at West Ham , then I found the O'S and the rest as they say is history 👍

Would quite like Ange to turn it round but he's toast, mate. Levy will appoint someone else and they'll, again, win nothing.

Not sure tbh, Levy is in a bit of a tricky position here. The fanbase at large hasn’t turned on Ange, and even those that have are more angry at Levy.

Ange has had more leeway than most managers, from both the fans cos of the style of play, but also from Levy cos Levy can see that sacking him won’t be popular, but having said all that, Ange’s inflexibility has gone into the realms of bafflingly arrogant, for all that his interviews seem reasonable.

I do hope he turns it round too, and this season should really just be written off cos of a crazy injury list and a refusal by the board to invest in reinforcements, but ultimately I’m not sure that his style of play works at this level at all: it’s very fine margins based, and reliant on confidence, momentum and luck, and spurs can’t really rely on any of those

I dont watch their games but when you get a manager who stubbornly refuses to change their system their days are numbered.

They've got injuries, but is that because he wants them to run all day?

When he was at Celtic his system worked well in domestic games and he stuck to it for European games where it was a joy to watch their regular pumpings.

Their injury list is pretty LOL but yesterday's starting XI should still beat a doomed Leicester side that had lost 7 in a row. Hard to see how he can turn a corner, as Levy won't back him enough in the remainder of the transfer window.

Let us not forget how much help Spurs have given to Orient over the years, unlike Arsenal who have done f**ck all, despite being near neighbours.
Financial help with the pitch upgrade, and very decent loans eg. Kane and now Keely and Donly.
