change the filter to specifically show Centre Forwards, and your last comment has a few words in different places...i.e. loads of sh*t forwards

Re: FREE TRANSFERS
If the choice is between Connor Wickham and nobody then I’d still rather have Connor Wickham.
We really need squad depth otherwise players are just going to burn out and break down faster than they already are.
What’s the harm in bringing an experienced pro in on a 6 month contract? If he’s useless so what? He’ll be gone in the summer.

He doesnt track down or press. waste of money if you sign someone who is useless. May as well get Joe P back who is not ratedThe Reverend wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 2:48 pm If the choice is between Connor Wickham and nobody then I’d still rather have Connor Wickham.

Re: FREE TRANSFERS
Off of that list i would take the 36 year old Troy Deaney.
Anybody know what Cureton is doing these days? Once saw him score for the Os at Carlisle. I'm sure he could do it again.

Re: FREE TRANSFERS
People kick up a fuss if we sign players who clearly don't fit our system. Think I'm right in saying we haven't signed a single 30+ player since Wellens joined? Wickham wouldn't press, wouldn't be mobile, would take ages to get fit. It'd be a waste of cash. The Reverend wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 2:48 pm If the choice is between Connor Wickham and nobody then I’d still rather have Connor Wickham.

Not saying we don't need another forward but this would be an awful option.

You wouldn’t take Troy Delaney if you saw what shape he is in, he’s put on some timber since he stopped playing.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 3:19 pm Off of that list i would take the 36 year old Troy Deaney.

Re: FREE TRANSFERS
From that list and I dont know about his injury record but i'd be tempted to look at Jordy Hiwula, 47 goals and 19 assists in league one across his career, main position is centre forward but can play either wing, was previously at Doncaster but not sure if it was when Wellens was there

Re: FREE TRANSFERS
If I remember it was a favour by RW that he was training with us to get fit as he was based in Spain. Good talent but oddly not played for a while
