So who's our Eric Djemba Djemba?
Every club makes a mistake signing and many on here may think we've made more than most. I've seen a few names flying about - so who's the worst?
For my part I'd like to nominate Phil Mulryne. He made some of the others that may get named on this thread look fitter than Ronaldo; arrived with a pedigree but that pedigree wasn't worth a tin of chum. Now a vicar, I believe, where he must still be repenting his sins for pretending to be a footballer at this club.

I seem to remember Tommy Taylor trying to sign Billy Beal from Cambridge for about 6 months - he was the must have signing. Completely underwhelming apart from one great goal if I recall correctly.

He is a Roman Catholic priest &
Dominican friar.
Calling him a Vicar is like saying
he was a footballer for leyton orient.

Naim/Niam Uka.
That said I don't recall Djemba-Djemba ever being seen as their big mistake. More like someone like Taibi, Kleberson or even Alexis Sanchez

So many
But from recent times Shwan Saman Jalal only played twice but jeez he stuck out like a sore thumb
I believe he plays for Chesterfield these days

Gianvito Plasmati, hilariously bad (remember *that* halfway line volley?!) and by all accounts was on big money too so the story goes...

Djemba-Djemba isn’t even the Djemba-Djemba of United. He scored the winner at Leeds and twatted Sol Campbell.

I believe he cost 50k.
Taylor signed an unbelievable amount of crap, how he survived 5 years I’ll never know.

Steve Riches was the Aussie signed by Holland but not sure about a 4 year deal.

Re: So who's our Eric Djemba Djemba?
Not forgetting the late David Stride.
Honesltly Stride has to win
What other player in History makes a bad tackle & the entire home crowd start to chant
OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF
Then booing the ref for only giving him yellow .
