Prediction Thread vs Stevenage - Vertu Cup 21/1/25
2-1 to the Os.
Donley & Perkins
2 yellows
1250 announced as attendance
No extra time, no penalties (what a change for our cup matches)
Bring on Birmingham

Donley needs to be at home watching on his firestick, not on the pitch.

Beckles, Currie, Donley, Gailbraith & Kelman should all be benched tonight
We need to give these 4 some rest, the league is more important.
I know if we win v Stevenage, we will have a crack at Birmingham at home in last 8, and a Wembley final and cup looks possible, but at what cost?
We need players fit & raring to go on Sat, it’s an huge game at home to Reading who are 7th, 3 points above us in L1 table, and we cannot risk more injuries to anymore 1st team players.
It’s a tough one tonight for RW, as we all know Stevenage are a big physical team.

Lg 1 is just as important to Stevenage, but for different reasons. Could be 2 sides that are resting players. I think we've got enough to beat them - without the need for penalties I hope.

That’s a decent shout & I hope we rest those players. Markanday will have to stay at home as well, already played in Vertu for Chesterfield so I assume he is cup tied.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:58 am Keeley

James has come back from injury and played 60 mins on Tues and 90 mins on Saturday, through necessity. He should be rested.
Shame about Markandy. It'd be good if Lingy can pull his finger out and get one of these other new boys in the building today.

I would think so, otherwise he would be playing unless he’s injuredOrient Punxx wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:04 pmSurely loan set up.Highwood Man wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 6:49 pm Warrington has got a permanent reservation on Bocco Island
