Our front 4 for the next couple of months
Perkins Donley DJ
Kelman
With only Galbraith as an option to change things, no loan spaces available in the team. It's good that we've got a lot of points on the board now as I can't see us picking up many more.

Obeiro and Sweeney will also fill in. With Clare as good as back and TJ on the way, Ethan has to be moved forward and take one of these spots.

Re: Our front 4 for the next couple of months
RW has said might have to use Sweeney as a winger, obviously far from ideal.
Don’t forget can always switch Keeley to no 9
Plenty of spare goalies to cover

You reckon we'd have done that without Agyei and O'Neil?Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 9:17 pmYep 22 from the last possible 24. Hard to see where the next point is coming from.

They'd have to be permanent as loans won't help. I just can't see us getting quality in permanently in January.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 7:52 amWe will be getting other players in.Adz wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 11:41 pmYou reckon we'd have done that without Agyei and O'Neil?Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 9:17 pm

Ollie ONeill signed last January.
We can also loan in better than Perkins, and rotate as necessary.

Re: Our front 4 for the next couple of months
Until Dan Agyei returns
Sounds like Dilan Markanday, will be joining very soon, so that’s another wide attacking option.
Pushes DJ to bench
Then we need a No.9 to rotate with Kelman

Re: Our front 4 for the next couple of months
A new loan winger would most likely push Perkins out of the matchday squad due to 5 loan player limit. Or rotate with him.

Re: Our front 4 for the next couple of months
Cheers mate, not good news. Ironically, I thought Ollie's injury was less serious than Dan's.
Still, things look brighter if we can get in this lad from Blackburn quickly as he looks like he's got some quality.
Maybe Dan will be available again by Feb 8th, whoever we play then.
Losing Dan is a real blow but although not the toughest oppo, I was impressed with how dominant we were in the second half against Shrewsbury without Olly & Dan. Also we have the confidence of a long unbeaten run.
Maybe, things won't be as difficult as we fear & hopefully that comment won't come back to bite me.

Wellens had hoped to have 1 or 2 new players in by tonight

Re: Our front 4 for the next couple of months
The way the team are playing the midfield will start chipping in as well. As someone said already with if we can move Galbraith into the middle again, no reason why he can't start adding to his tally, he has scored 4 already this season.
Also would like to see Tom James get more involved and more forward, 4 assists and has a good eye for goal when he is in the mood.
This team has really hit form and a win tonight will only increase the self belief that this team has already got.

Why am I not surprised Ritchie didn’t get the 1 or 2 players that he had hoped for by tonight.idontkn0 M wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 12:41 pm Wellens had hoped to have 1 or 2 new players in by tonight

It was clear from the start of the season that two strikers would not be enough

The way the team is playing......see the Shrewsbury game. Loads of possession against a relegation bound team yet we only scraped through with a moment of brilliance from JD.Frogger wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 1:06 pm The way the team are playing the midfield will start chipping in as well. It's going to remain the same until we bring in replacements.

That was a tough game and Shrewsbury did come to park the bus as it were.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 3:08 pmThe way the team is playing......see the Shrewsbury game. I don't disagree with you, a few more to bolster the ranks is needed, as we will have not doubt more injuries and suspensions, and with DA and O'Neil out for a few months it is needed. However if they come in by end of the month (new signings) then we should be fine. The players that are covering though are doing a good job or at least capable of doing a good job
