Away at Fulham Boxing Day 1974.
Really uneventful 0-0, neither team did anything watched by a small'ish uninterested crowd.
Even the weather was grey and boring, not sure why I did remember it all these years later

Re: Most forgettable game ever?
It’s an interesting thing to ponder actually. A game could be so boring and uneventful that it actually becomes memorable for being the most boring game you’ve ever seen, thus making it memorable. The fact that you recall a game against Fulham from 50 years ago means that it’s quite the opposite of being forgettable.one o in huntingdon wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 12:19 pm Away at Fulham Boxing Day 1974.

1999/2000. Home to Rochdale 0 - 0 draw, no goal attempts of any sort by either side. Least exciting and worst game of football I have ever watched. Couldn't leave due to being totally mesmorised by it's awfulness.

If we’re going back that far, the semi final 3-0 loss to Arsenal has to be right up there with the worst of the worse.

Stevenage away about 3 weeks ago. That without doubt was the shittiest game I have ever been too. It was so bad I actually started playing on my phone. I went home so angry and confused. Just writing this post has made me shiver with the memories of that game.

Also think back to some of the lockdown era games under Embleton when we didn't manage a shot on target in 90 mins at home, some of those were painful viewing
