Maybe teams are doing what we did against them...sit on Hector and stifle their game?

They can't defend.
Second highest scorers with 33, but have also conceded the second highest with 32.
I suppose you could say that their games are never dull.

Always thought Ferguson was overrated and living off the family name.

Same as Mansfield. High flying yet have now lost five league matches on the spin. Many were against the leading lights but if O’s win Saturday and they lose we’ll leapfrog them in the table.

Their topscorer Kwame Poku is also out for three months with a hamstring injury. They should have won yesterday. Ricky-Jade Jones missed a sitter at 1-1.

Meanwhile, our goal difference is beginning to look much better. Even in our glory year of 13-14 the goal difference was not THAT in credit.

My son supports Posh, he thinks they are in a relegation battle.
They are missing Poku as said above, Hector has been out a while, back in contention again now. Overall feel they lost too much quality and experience – Edwards, Burrows, Mason-Clark, Clarke-Harris – and are too reliant on youth. Think it was a conscious decision to go with youth too.

It’s like what Richie said, string three wins together and the league can look totally different.

Our goal difference that season was +40, only bettered by Wolves.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 11:29 am Even in our glory year of 13-14 the goal difference was not THAT in credit.

Super Kev, Moons, Coxy & Moses all contributing well and then the rest getting the odd 2 or 3 each. Even Nathan Clarke scored a couple. 25/5/2014 at Wembley still haunts me.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 2:14 pmOur goal difference that season was +40, only bettered by Wolves.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 11:29 am Even in our glory year of 13-14 the goal difference was not THAT in credit.

Re: What has gone wrong with Pboro?
League one table is pretty crazy. Just 5 points between 10th and 21st. We have got some really big games coming up in December and, if we can win 2 or 3 of them, things could be looking half decent by the start of January.

But our away game at the Posh in early Dec (?) was sublime.EliotNes wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 3:09 pmSuper Kev, Moons, Coxy & Moses all contributing well and then the rest getting the odd 2 or 3 each. Re: What has gone wrong with Pboro?
Their Chairman MacAnthony is doing his nut on The Hard Truth podcast. They've had a bad season for injuries including Hector and their best striker. They generally dominate possession but are shipping goals all over the place. He accuses their defenders of not "putting themselves on the line." He doesn't sound like a bloke who'd be that easy to deal with if he suspected some of his employees weren't making enough effort. It's clear that some of his defenders have royally pissed him off. He seems very supportive of Ferguson. Although Ferguson has achieved f*** all at other clubs he seems to do pretty well at Posh.Their recruitment model continues to generate revenue for the club but it's largely due to developing and selling forwards. The last defender I can remember then selling for a fee was Sean St Ledger and that was donkeys years ago.

Re: What has gone wrong with Pboro?
They sold two defenders for £3m+ each this summer just gone. Harrison Burrows to Sheffield United for 3 potentially rising to 6 and Ronnie Edwards to Southampton in a similar deal.Exiled O wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 8:00 am Their Chairman MacAnthony is doing his nut on The Hard Truth podcast. Re: What has gone wrong with Pboro?
Posh lost against Lincoln today (1-5). Fergie jr. is frustrated: don't often say that about my team, but I am sorry, I have to be honest and say this group of players is the softest group of players I have ever had in my whole managerial career." Ouch.
