Re: Other Fans Forums
Reading the Salford forum I found this funny - "BT Sports team have been very biased towards Orient all season and hoping the big ex-football league will get promoted" The number of times Salford were on BT Sport with all the fawning over their owners. I mean they showed Salford v Maidenhead less than a fortnight ago when on the same day Orient had a far more balanced fixture at Sutton. I suspect BT Sport would prefer Solihull and Harrogate to be promoted ahead of the well supported Wrexham in the Play Offs.

There only seem to be about 3 people on that forum.RientO wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 12:56 pm Reading the Salford forum I found this funny - "BT Sports team have been very biased towards Orient all season and hoping the big ex-football league will get promoted" The number of times Salford were on BT Sport with all the fawning over their owners. It's only us and Wrexham that have a forum with any worthwhile quantity of posts.

Re: Other Fans Forums
Strange really because on the first series of that show about them, they had some ridiculously loyal fans, unsung heroes that worked for free and was a hub of their community. Because of the takeover and where they are, they are universally hated but im sure those people still exist and genuinely love the club.

To be fair, there are only about nine people chatting on their board. I think they should stick to a WhatsApp group rather than a message board!Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 1:44 pm Strange really because on the first series of that show about them, they had some ridiculously loyal fans, unsung heroes that worked for free and was a hub of their community. Re: Other Fans Forums
Back in the day Tranmere would always get a spike in their crowd on an off weekend because they were a fair few Liverpool/Everton supporters second team. Salford have an average crowd circa 500 more than FC United, they don't have a fan base.Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 6:59 pm Trouble is they got two massive Manchester Clubs.

Yeah, remembering seeing that. Every club that low down has those guys, they rely on them.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 1:44 pm Strange really because on the first series of that show about them, they had some ridiculously loyal fans, unsung heroes that worked for free and was a hub of their community. It's been a funny League.Couldn't see both our main challengers losing today plus us not being able to beat Braintree at home.

Re: Other Fans Forums
The bizarre thing about that thread is that in three matches this season, Wrexham never scored a single goal against us. It is no good grizzling about missed chances, they happen to all teams in nearly every game. Take it on the chin Wrexham, after 46 matches the stats do not lie.

Re: Other Fans Forums
Exactly. It's too facile to look at the table and talk about one result would have made the difference. The season's other games would have played out differently for both teams as mentalities changed as a result. You can't just retrospectively adjust results and put it down to fine margins.Lovejoy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:55 pm The bizarre thing about that thread is that in three matches this season, Wrexham never scored a single goal against us. Re: Other Fans Forums
Of course not but it does show how close the margins were.
The fact they didn’t score against us in 3 games isn’t the reason they haven’t gone up but is symptomatic of the reason - their lack of a decent striker.

Not that it matters now, but I also wonder if we lost the home game to them whether we'd have gone out and got that upgrade at centre midfield too.
