Quite unacceptable behaviour from a classically trained Michelin star chef that I presume he is working on that show.

I quite often have to sit on disciplinary panels at work. I have heard all kinds of excuses and justifications for unacceptable behaviour, including on one memorable occasion that witchcraft must have been involved. I have, however, never had someone justify their behaviour by saying that's how they behave with their mates in the pub and they are too working class to understand the difference between what might be acceptable there and what is acceptable during working hours.

If anything, I suspect that his “I’m a rough diamond working class bloke and that’s what we’re like” has been accepted by higher ups who actually buy that sh*t because they don’t know any working class people, and so it takes a lot for them to actually understand that being a creepy bumhole at work isn’t something that’s OK for the plebs

Not me, I was at a social event once. He cannot ‘read a room’. Made some very racist remarks in front of an Irish mate who was married to an Asian woman. Nobody reacted , it was embarrassing, he walked away.
