Re: Orient v Oldham Prediction Thread OFFICIAL
We struggled to beat Borehamwood so Oldham will fancy their chances . I can actually see a cup shock . 1-0 to Oldham .

I fear the worst… we’ll get through.
No, seriously, I anticipate being wholly humiliated and RW saying we had good chances and if our play continues we’ll be in the playoffs by Christmas

Consistently scoring goals remains a huge worry. Get it right tomorrow - a win.

On the contrary I think we'll put on a strong performance tomorrow which will show the difference between (a poor) L1 side and the depths of non-league. It will be strongly impressed on the players how important for their careers and the club that they win tomorrow and get in the hat for the 3rd round draw.
The downside is certain quarters will get all overexcited again but we'll then lose to Bristol Rovers on Tuesday as the same XI will be needed for both games and fatigue will kick in.

They’re on a good run and scoring goals.
Orient are…
A defeat would not register as a ‘cup shock’ to me. They will be well up for it and confident of getting a result.

Won’t argue against this except to ask: was not the situation the same at 13:59 away at Boreham? And look at the display we put on there.gshaw wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 12:53 pm On the contrary I think we'll put on a strong performance tomorrow which will show the difference between (a poor) L1 side and the depths of non-league. 3-1 to the Os, coming from behind.
Pratley (finally), Cooper and James. Still no forward scoring.
5400 announced as attendance.

Have to say I bought 4 tickets with no problems at all. Bringing PJ jnr to his first game tomorrow so we'll probably win and he'll assume it's always like that, poor bugger. Also predicting that he'll pay 0.5% attention and get on my nerves/he demands to leave before HT.

Well it was looking a solid result until the subs came on and let a two goal lead slip. Hence this time keep your best players on but it comes at the cost of the next game.Orient_Man_And_Boy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 1:25 pm

Yes, we struck the crosssbar I recall at 2-0. 3-0 would have been game over.gshaw wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 3:49 pmWell it was looking a solid result until the subs came on and let a two goal lead slip. As for the next game being under threat, I’m concerned that any fit player couldn’t manage two games per week. Most are much less than half my age.
Still, let’s see what the Fates have in store for us.

Just don't fancy us to beat anyone at the moment. Hope I'm wrong but I'm going 0-2.

Re: Orient v Oldham Prediction Thread OFFICIAL
Well we know Pratley can't really do Sat / Tue back to back now and we have a few in the squad that still aren't match fit from summer so fitness of the squad isn't exactly on the high side. Still, get past this banana skin first and then look at TuesOrient_Man_And_Boy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 6:45 am As for the next game being under threat, I’m concerned that any fit player couldn’t manage two games per week. According to BBC Football fixtures website, Oldham's opponents today are " The East" How bizarre - or is there something we should know about?
