Not even our Goalkeeping board expert saw Hemming being so cr@p & I'd trust his expertise.
Post-Vigs the GK recruitment reads
Howes - enough has been said about him, never L1 standard
Brynn - a barely average keeper, I'd say poor based on the stats that the other forum posted (very few saves, lots of goals against)
Hemming - a 4th choice keeper and has played like one
Meanwhile Byrne who at one point looked a decent talent ready to be #2 keeper appears to have gone backwards
Bandy Legs wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 4:17 pm
Brynn is currently on the bench week in week out for a team sitting 7th in the race for promotion to the Premier league. If that's going backwards you are deluded
and we've trained Hemming to let in almost every shot that goes on target
Bandy Legs wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 4:17 pm
3 seasons as 1st choice in the SPL Who knows how tough it was for Hemming moving down to London?
. Another area along with the recruitment that needs seriously looking at.
Byrne is only at the club as his old man pays his wages & the club give him £4-500 a week & is used as a training companion. Not even close to being good enough & will eventually play in non league
Totally deluded

While I generally agree re the keepers, Brynn was better than you make out
Can you recall one game Brynn won us with his performance? He certainly chucked a fair few in never seemed to be much of a matchwinner. Definitely need a proper #1 next season with just one reserve.

I can only recall a couple of errors but even Vigs made them. I haven’t got instant recall of all his games last season but he was an OK keeper. But you spend most of your time on here knocking the club, the academy or its players, rarely hear from you when we win.

You never see G Shaw when we win. He goes hiding. Very negative
Yes Mr Negative gshaw.
Portsmouth away, we were winning 2-0 & Brynn saved their penalty, if it had gone 2-1 & with their big crowd behind them it would of been a different game.
We then went on to score a third goal.
Never happy unless your slagging off our players.
Wonder why you bother getting out of bed in the morning Meldrew

Brynn was very average - I’d rate him as just about acceptable. But he did improve over the course of the season.
I think people’s view of Brynn gets somewhat clouded by the fact he came straight after Vigs who was an absolutely class keeper so he gets directly compared to what came before.
Brynn was fine for league 1 and better than any of the 8 goalies we have at the moment.

Untrue, go back to the Rotherham thread and look who the only person to predict a win was. I'll wait...

Happy when winning as that's what professional sport is about

Only the ones that aren't good enough. I don't believe clapping harder makes a poor player into a good one. And funny enough I'm also one of the few on here who wants to give Kelman a chance.
For the holier than thou types why aren't you all asking for Hemming, Moncur and Pigott back?
The academy yes I think it's a complete waste of time, effort and money and would be very happy if we followed Brentford's route to the top by shutting it down and just signing a few extra young pros instead.

Of course he was left some big gloves to fill.
But regardless, just comparing him against the other L1 keepers we faced last season, he was very average at best.

You could show more support, some seasons are better than others, by all means enjoy our wins although you don’t really show up when there is something positive going on,but don’t constantly slag players and the club off when we lose. You are so fickle.

This is fair, I don't call myself a supporter, rather a football fan who happens to have Orient as my team. Take today as an example, a horrible game and bore draw, sounds a fair result in the conditions.
Ultimately it's a results business and if we go back to the NL days and Embleton L2 days the same arguments were had about support vs criticism. Sometimes change is necessary even if it's seen as negative to call for it at the time.

Lot of money being wasted on DOF, times like these and money tight it is astonishing , buts sim not sure what kind of contract he has still? Incredible Nigel has sunk 10:million in the Club , probably more than BH ever did and at least BH had assets to strip.

GShaw, where are you now?
In incredible coincidences that's the only league game he's played this season according to the TransferMarkt stats. Two EFL Cup games of which one was a 0-5 loss

A cup nobody, not even us cares about.
3 points is a 100% winning percentage from 1 game

Sobering info that the average league 1 club loses £6m.
The identification of new sites in Waltham Forest/Leyton would seem to be progressing well. I look forwards to seeing my first match in the new stadium in 2034.

With the amount of money that's been thrown around in the Summer I expect those loses to be even higher this season .
Edit , The sports centre across the road from the ground is being demolished to make way for more new flats . I was daydreaming that the space being created would have been a plum site for our new ground . I think it would have been perfect but like I said , it was only a daydream.
