I can't see him being the same player again. Michael Simpson of the 05/06 promotion team was never the same after a similar injury. Jordan Graham appears to me to bottle it slightly in tackles after his knee injury.

I think we've seen the best of Theo, which is a shame.

Under the NHS rules you can ask to go to hospitals of your choice. The doctors will tend to send you to a local hospital but its worth asking to see if its possible to get treatment there, I had this problem for over 50 years, hate operations and wanted to give myself as good a chance as possible. The Royal Orthopedic is a specialist hospital and I was very pleased with the treatment I got. I had knee replacement at that hospital, dont know if they also do ACL operations ?
That sounds good if I can ask to go there. I will look into this. Not mentioned knee replacement (yet). I hate thought of ops too. How these people can go under knife unnecessarily for bum ops and boob jobs is beyond me. Even tattoos seem a ridiculous risk. Thanks Sid you have enlightened me!

I have to agree . I don’t think Dean Cox was the same player after his ACL injury. All we can do is hope for the best. Does anybody know how many months they estimate Theo’s latest setback has put him back ?

How did Theo injure his ACL if he was born without one?

If you want to know anything more about that hospital in fact any information I can give you, well please send me a private message via this forum and I shall reply to you. Lastly, the hospital can arrange for ambulance transport to pick you up on the morning of the operation and to also take you home when you are discharged.

I have never heard before of anyone being born without an ACL but upon research, apparently it can happen, but it is an extremely rare occurrence. I can only presume that being as Theo never had an ACL in that knee, then perhaps other knee ligaments must have been able to strengthen the knee since when he was young to take over the job of stabilizing the knee. I knew instantly when I snapped my ACL following a guy going over the top to me in a game of football. Terrible pain and the knee came out of joint whenever I tried to turn on it when playing football. Its an awful injury. Some players get over this operation, In December 1992 Shearer tore his right ACL in a match against Leeds United.https://team-acl.com/acl-story-alan-shearer/ and after that injury he went on to play many years at a high level. Also in more recent times many lady footballers have suffered from this same injury including England players Beth Mead and Leah Williamson. Both are now back playing for their club Arsenal and also for England.
