That’s what really baffles me about this stupid competition. The needlessly early kick off time feels like they are doing everything they can to make attendances as low as possible.

The fact that matches are starting at 7.45 suggests the 7.00 start is an arrangement by the clubs.

Initial reaction seeing it live was that he perhaps should’ve done better after getting a hand to it. Having seen it multiple times since my opinion has changed, he definitely should’ve done better. He barely jumps and gets a hand to it, so imo it’s easily saveable.

On the ‘closer look’ footage, it’s clear he doesn’t get his feet off the ground. Absolutely another error from him.

Looked at ‘closer look’ he does get his feet off the ground but the jump is about as good as Sam Parkin, if anyone remembers him, ie about 6 inches off the ground.
I definitely think Hemming should have done a lot better and I feel sure Keeley would have saved it.
Hemming just does not inspire confidence, and with good reason. Rather see Byrne as the back up and send Hemming back.

Presumably it’s to allow kids easier access and boost attendances that way?
