Looks like only 2 of the prem under 21 teams have made it through. Think this says a lot about how many of these players are ready to play in the efl, let alone the epl.

Having these PL under 21 teams in this cup is not exactly having the desired effect that the FA wanted of getting younger talent developed is it?! Shows how clueless they are.

Just checked BBC webpage with EFL Trophy stats, we are second in our group, so progress to the next round (knock-out round) as long as Colchester hang onto their current 3-0 lead (after 55 mins) against Arsenal U-21's.

We will be away in the next round to one of:

Wycombe
Charlton
Peterborough
Burton
Exeter
Cheltenham

The PL2 sides are featuring in the National League Cup this season and getting turned over there as well.

When is the draw?

The date for the draw has not been announced yet but will likely take place next week once Bradford and Rotherham have gone head-to-head. Last year the draw was made on November 22. The fixtures for the round of 32 are due to place the week commencing December 9
