another quiet evening on this board
Always goes silent on here when we win. Compare that to a bad performance when about 15 separate threads all appear digging out Wellens, Ling, the board and individual players.

Yes, agreed, the team were very good today, even Perkins weighed in with a very important goal and a promising performance. The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 9:45 pm Always goes silent on here when we win. Richie got the subs just right especially bringing on Simpson as Blackpool threatened and were unlucky not to draw level.
Excellent improved performances from Agyei and O’Neill really give cause for optimism and we scored 3 goals.
Galbraith was everywhere and Prats’ belied his age………..my one concern was Warrington who maybe needs more game time as I don’t think he was too involved.
My MOTM was Agyei who I thought was outstanding today and it’s so important he avoids injury as without him we are fcuked.

It's almost like winning is the goal in professional football and makes fans happy

Was in the air flying back to UK whilst game was on.
Was surprised and delighted that we got such a resounding win today.
It couldn’t have come at a better time considering we are still in the precipice of the drop zone

We won, fans are happy & have nothing to moan about today. Can't slag off Perkins or Kelman for scoring.
TJ scored & didn't make any defensive slip ups.

What a strange supporter base we have. Only happy when we lose so they can whine.
Up the O’s.

Encouraging performance today although we need to beat the likes of Blackpool. Home wins are what we need, target achieved today. Perhaps rhe meltdown brigade need to review their Wycombe comments, currently sitting on top of the league.

Re: another quiet evening on this board
Yawn - We get this thread every time we win after a set of poor games.
Does anyone really, REALLY, believe we have supporters who are only happy when we lose. Because that sounds as daft as it is, and those suggesting it seem to be virtue signalling that they're in some way the "better" supporters.
Isn't it actually more likely that there's just more to critique when we lose than when we win.

Re: another quiet evening on this board
Was worried when Richie switched to five at back, thought we were going to sit back even more. That said I don't think James would have turned up in the 6 yard box to score without that additional license to get forward. Sometimes Richie does know what he is doing.

It has taken all this time for Richie to realise the obvious that playing Dan A up top is a better option than Kelman.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 8:58 amWas worried when Richie switched to five at back, thought we were going to sit back even more. Well put, and the virtue signallers will probably ignore this as it doesn't fit with their narrative.o-no wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 7:55 am Yawn - We get this thread every time we win after a set of poor games.

It’s just strange that some people are more inclined to moan rather than praise.

Re: another quiet evening on this board
I'm delighted with our win & even better it was my first home game this season. Met up with some old friends. A great day at the end of a bad week for planet earth.
Sure, there are things we need to improve but we moved the ball quicker & created a good many chances & put away 3 of them.
Dan was really good in the centre & Charlie caused a fair degree of havoc as an Impact sub. Thought DP had a good game & rolled back the years.
Fingers crossed we can build on this excellent result.

Re: another quiet evening on this board
We had maybe 5 or more players performing well , instead of maybe 1 or 2 in recent weeks
Keeley, Currie, O’Neill, Agyei , Galbraith the stand outs for me, but the others weren’t too far behind.
Keeley is looking good, makes a real difference.

Surely you have got to add 39 year old Pratley to the top 6!

Re: another quiet evening on this board
I have always said that Tom James is a ‘ good footballer’ and I think could score more goals if he was able to get forward more often. We all know how he can shoot, it would be nice to see him getting forward more often.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 8:58 amWas worried when Richie switched to five at back, thought we were going to sit back even more. Tom's yellow card yesterday was the second yellow he's got this season for hesitating taking a throw in . Such a silly booking to get . He's got to take his throw in's quicker .
