Well I've probably watched far more non league than you or Hoover, so I'll have my opinion you have yours. The be all and end all is I ( that's me) thinks you see 100% commitment and sometimes, pro players don't show that. Anyway the question originally was 'will you buy a season for next year' and my answer is no because I can't justify paying a lot of money when 50% or more of the games I can watch in living room. Thank you and goodnight!!

If you’ve seen so much league football, why is it so hard for you to summarise what it is you mean by “100% commitment”?

Hope you’re not referring to “Mr Hoover “ or “Trump Plumbing “

It looks like I'm in a pool of 1 that doesn't mind the Tuesday games. Largely for selfish reasons of course:Omygawd wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 12:18 pm I, like many, am genuinely worried for the Club if the disruption from traditional Saturday afternoon football continues at the level we are seeing this season. The Club is aware of a level of anger, frustration and disengagement caused by the fixture disruption. This may provide some ammunition to lobby for a return to greater “normality” should it bothered to.
I work in City and live in Southend, so, a short hop onto the Central Line is a doddle, before going home.
However even before this was my working reality I would rarely miss a Tuesday match. I'm aware we lose hundreds or more off the gate and I feel I want to support the team during those moments. (League games, not the Daffy Duck Cup, I should add)
As a non-drinker too I'm unlikely to spend 6 hours in the pubs spliced either side of a Saturday match. An hour having a coffee/chat with friends works great for me prior. Again, this is selfish reasons.
It does concern me that the lack of Saturday games is putting people off of course. It's not good for the club.
I've always picked and chosen Saturday games though and I miss a good few if I have other stuff on. Example would be I will be at the Blackpool game, but would have missed the Huddersfield game as got other things I want to do, so moving the Huddersfield game to a Tuesday means I can now see it..
The lack of Saturday games makes little difference to me, but I can see how it would annoy the f*** out of others.

If I didn’t sit with a friend, I wouldn’t renew. I will renew next year

Re: Season Ticket Renewal 2025/26 - Season Ticket Holders Only
I wanted to see what people are thinking, hence my first foray into posting a poll. Less than half who have responded so far are considering non renewal. 40% seem piss*d off enough not to renew regardless. The poll only deals with the fixtures issues. Add our lacklustre performances, seeming uncertainty over future direction and financing and I am very worried indeed about potential impact on season ticket renewals and/or sales.
It can be argued that any such reductions would just take us back to where we were in numbers a few years ago. That is not personally where I want to be. Once an O always an O remains true for most and anyone who feels that failure to renew a season ticket is guilty of not being a true supporter fails to understand what is at play here. "When Saturday Comes" - the basis of how lower level football has been organised over many years is changing - and not for the better.
Actions have consequences, I blame the EFL mostly but the Club generally also has to accept some responsibility. It is too late to do anything this year but similar actions and decisions for future seasons look like they may have many more negative consequences than anyone taking those decisions understands or perhaps cares about.

The Sky deal is looking so so shitte. At least the Club could negate some of the lost footfall on a Tuesday with streaming revenue. Doesn’t even get that now. Our streaming was a good view. Now we get some half bored commentator, where it makes counting the crowd more interesting. £500k pa looks exceptionally shortsighted on so many levels. Absolute shambles of a deal and the so called EFL stewardship of football. Ironic that today is billed International Day by the club. Love the idea of a potential investor being impressed today and then asking when we next play at home (in the league) on a Saturday at 3pm
