Said it before and will say every time he pulls on an Orient shirt, Sweeney is NL standard, L2 at very best, nowhere near good enough to be playing in L1.
He is a total liability

So sad.
What do you do for a living?
As a supposed fan your comments are pathetic.
Would you like endless criticism of your work?

Hopefully he will get the boot to save some money. Whatever his hold on the club is he has had his monies worth and should go.

Re: Shambles …
Comments like this are a real insult to the team and to one of our young players who has come through the ranks. I take it, as a so called supporter, you weren't at the game, Sweens had a pretty decent game yesterday, until the sending off and was actually one of our best players on the day.
And, both bookings/the red were due to him towing the team line and acting on instructions in breaking up play and if you look closely, in the final act of kicking the ball away, the Borehamwood player actually kicked the away ball whilst pushing Jayden over. Obviously the ref never picked this up.
And the team actually played quite well against a resilient BW for 60 minutes, as we have seen from most other ties, these games are far from pushovers. There was also still some belief from BW, lets not forget their cup exploits over the past 4 years or so. For us, the whole game changed after 60 minutes when the substitutions (some enforced) started. Pertinently, they had to move Galbraith to right back, Dom Ball who also played well and looks decent was starting to 'blow out of his arse'. That's when things started to go wrong and BW threw the kitchen sink at us for 15 minutes.
Yes, for part of the game, things didn't go plan, yes there have been one or two disappointing summer signings but also some decent ones on a limited budget which Nigel has publicly declared he is dealing with in seeking new investment.
It would be really nice if some of our 'so called supporters' would get behind the team and club during this sticky period rather than throw out these negative comments an insults. UTO's

It's a very "Orient" thing to excuse poor performing players just because they came from the academy. If they're good enough great, if not they get no special treatment.brentwoodo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 10:04 amComments like this are a real insult to the team and to one of our young players who has come through the ranks. It's a shame the old forums are gone else I could link to the same debates being had about Grainger and Sargent in the NL days.

Many supporters knew our weaknesses earlier on this season and have highlighted impending problems. We need a complete shake up but that is unlikely to happen especially as the owners will increasingly lose interest and be more concerned as to how much of their money they can claw back. I don’t know if other clubs on sale have tangible assets that go with the price but we seem to just have a name and a lease the value of which will be ever decreasing. I don’t know how sponsorship compares to previous years and takings within the ground. Nigel T expects people who value their health to buy junk food on offer when you can buy a healthier option in one of the Kurdish or Ethnic restaurants nearby at fraction of the price. Supporting the club and respect for the fans is a cooperation and when like me I feel I am having the club taking the pi55 , you start to look at what you are getting for spending hard earned cash on a season ticket.

You are saying we cannot criticise. No you are saying we can. If I have a season off I won’t be coming back and I have been paying the club for many years. This is a two way contract. The club has a duty to fans and must earn their loyalty. Having arduously supported them financially when we dropped out the league I feel it may be fmdifferentbif we sink again. Explanation not needed as a Contract between the 2 doesn't exist. The club has a product it sells. I mean a moral contract and a certain amount of decency not caveat emptor, we were buying tickets during Covid lockdown knowing we would not see any football we did it with a good heart and to support the club. Re: Shambles …
Year on year for the last six seasons (bar one where we finished a whole two places lower) Orient have finished in a higher place than the year before. The reality is that this is unsustainable and its inevitable at some point we will have an unsuccessful season. Not everybody can win and some teams do have to get relegated. If you want a season ticket with guaranteed success support Manchester City, then again you would probably throw your toys out of the pram if they finished second. Criticism is fine as long people understand where we were when the new owners took over, and where we are now against other teams with far more resources.Yanzi Gravy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 3:25 pmYou are saying we cannot criticise. Those who are disillusioned need to lessen there delusions of grandeur. I mean it's 42 years since we were a 2nd tier club, players now earn way more than they used to. Our budget has probably decreased in real terms since the 70s & yet people believe we have a right to something better.
Why?

UTO's

Re: Shambles …
I'd rather have 5,000 fans that will follow the club through thick and thin; support the players that wear the shirt and sweat in it; back the management when hey strive to improve - than have another 2,500 fans who blow like leaves in the wind.
Just saying.

Comments like this are a real insult to the team and to one of our young players who has come through the ranks. I take it, as a so called supporter, you weren't at the game, Sweens had a pretty decent game yesterday, until the sending off and was actually one of our best players on the day.

Know what you're saying but you still shouldn't underplay the fans that blow like leaves in the wind.LittleMate wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 8:54 pm I'd rather have 5,000 fans that will follow the club through thick and thin; support the players that wear the shirt and sweat in it; back the management when hey strive to improve - than have another 2,500 fans who blow like leaves in the wind.
