Inflation is the main effect of money in people's pockets, and that was driven by policies during covid, and global wars.

Trumps policies are highly inflationary so I can't see Americans having a great next few years if he wins
Yet before covid hit his policies had America flying so I can't agree with you .

Others are commenting that this is a reliable poll too. If it's true, then it's massive, and would suggest that her abortion adverts have really cut through to women voters. It would be incredible if that becomes the issue that defeats the hard right.

I desperately hope trump doesn’t win for many reasons but fair play to you, you’ve taken a lot on here in good spirit and not flounced off or resorted to insults

Thinking about it this morning while listening to the radio . if Trump losses he should just call it a day . After what he’s been through these past few years it isn’t worth going through again.

He won't accept a loss. Should he lose tomorrow, they have already started prepping the narrative that there's been a conspiracy against him. If there's a poll out saying he's winning, it shows that only fraud could stop him. If there's a poll out saying he's losing, it's a fraud trying to suppress his vote and is fake. A kid could see how flawed the logic is.

Well he would have lost two elections in a row so he would be wasting his energy . It wouldn’t change anything

Been obsessing over this a bit during the weekend and I think North Carolina will vote Democrat - I'm possibly more confident of that than Harris winning the Midwest seats she actually needs. The Republican candidate running for governor is a complete loon and has been polling somewhere between 10-20% behind the dem candidate. It's possible that a massive chunk of that vote switch their allegiance to Trump but it'd be unusual for that many voters to switch parties on their ballots.

Splitting your vote is far more common in the states because of incumbency etc

I think the up ballot (Presidential) choice affects the down ballot candidates more than the other way around though.

I get that, but Trump has personally been out to bat for the Robinson, who's Wikipedia controversies section is probably longer than Orient's entire entry and is gonna get smashed. Would take some incredible cognitive dissonance amongst a huge number of people to switch.

Trump's campaign has been particularly manic these last few days in alleging fraud and conspiracy already as well. Maybe it's a bit of a cope on my part but there's a vague feeling that they are seeing information that doesn't bode well for them.

Or maybe they’re just prepping their excuses for a loss in what’s essential a coin flip election. Something he has done for the previous two elections.

America deserves Trump.

Americans have had a belief that their country is the greatest ever to have existed, when in reality it's always been divisive and built on the backs of those on the edge and furthest away from " The American Dream".

They need to wake up.

Unfortunately it's going to be painful for some over the short-term, both domestically and internationally, but in the long term surely it will produce a more inclusive movement.

100% that as well. Lots of legal shenanigans taking place already.

I’m curious - is there a part of you deep inside that understands that Trump is a criminal, a rapist, a racist, a misogynist, and an incompetent, deeply stupid man in steep mental decline?
I’d actually have more respect for you if you actually know those things to be true, and are engaged in a display of wilful misunderstanding as an act of trolling.

If you actually genuinely believe the stuff you say about Trump, then you really are a proper, proper thicko

Also, at least some recognition of the fact that "what he's been through" is pretty much entirely self-inflicted.
