⚽️NEW BLOG POST!✍️ From Boston with ambition

Post by LeytonLaureate »

In case you haven't seen it in the Orientear, I interviewed Stephanie McCaffrey on her family's takeover of the LOFC women's side -- a test case for the club as it gears up for a sale. Now posted on my blog--

Thanks for reading!

So definitely sold off then, with the future plans of what level they want to get to it makes you wonder what could've been achieved had the club kept the original Kikk FC side that were way higher up

They did not want the club more involved

Given the sell-off and the new version of LOFC Women being at a lower level then before one could argue Kikk were right

If I was running a women's team, not sure I'd want Danny Macklin more involved either

I am a big fan of the WSL and quite often go to watch those matches at West Ham and Tottenham ladies (Brisbane Road) as they are in fairly easy reach of me. I had always had the intention to see an O’s women’s match and saw my first game at Billericay in a first round FA cup tie against Hutton Ladies recently.
It was an entertaining game watched about a hundred or so spectators which the O’s were just edged out. Maccaffery played out on the wide left and was notably a class above the rest, she earned and slotted home our penalty but the O’s do have several v good players and seem just several short of having a very good team. Def making progress in developing the team. When I have spare sunday I will def see them play again. They certainly need our support.
