Re: Latest date Mansfield could be moved for international
Probably not an exact science but could probably look up when RoI/NI etc announced their squads for the last games and apply the same timeframe.

Re: Latest date Mansfield could be moved for international
It was quite late in the day for Peterborough, and about 10 days for Huddersfield. TBH you might as well wait, as many others will be asking the same question, so there's no danger of it both (a) selling out and then (b) going ahead.

100% will be off - both Mansfield games have been postponed earlier this season.

btw…. All 3 international fixture weekends have been away for them. Seems they got the ear of the EFL!

Wouldn't that automatically be the case if we were at home each time as well? We're all on the same H/A schedule, more or less.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 4:34 pm btw…. All 3 international fixture weekends have been away for them. Seems they got the ear of the EFL!

It’s an absolute joke if this game is cancelled as well,
As usual there is no thought for the fans at all,
A number of season ticket holders who sit near me are already Considering not renewing due to this.

They'd stop supporting Orient because we have some international players?

Re: Latest date Mansfield could be moved for international
There's really nothing the club can do in this situation. Lower leagues don't have breaks for international games, if we did the end result would be the same, which would be more games on Tuesdays. We've been really unlucky to have 3 3pm home games clash.

Re: Latest date Mansfield could be moved for international
No, but some of them, a couple, live in Hampshire and if it’s a midweek game ends it’s apparently difficult to make the last train home. Another guy brings his two kids and again a Tuesday game ends past their bedtime , so what some have been saying they’ll just ‘pick and choose ‘ their games on Saturday’s.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 9:41 am They'd stop supporting Orient because we have some international players?
Plus they can watch on TV at home on Sky saving transport , food and ticket costs.
Fair play to the club, they have realised the difficulties fans face and have reduced ticket prices for the Huddersfield game which is a nice gesture.

The EFL need to take note of these concerns from supporters.
Just play the game scheduled. If nothing else it will level the playing field in the division and favour the smaller clubs.

Although I'm a season ticket holder I can't make weekday games due to work commitments. Mansfield would be another game floating out the window for me .

People won’t stop supporting Orient but it makes things difficult

Re: Latest date Mansfield could be moved for international
Why not schedule the international break fixtures like Boxing Day/New years Day, if you're at home for one then you end up away for the other? 4 international breaks, home for two and away for two. Or is that beyond the melts at the EFL?

Re: Latest date Mansfield could be moved for international
As above, I have the same problem. SC holder but can't make the Tuesday games. I won't stop supporting the club but unless I find someone to share the SC next year, or there are fewer Tuesday games, there's little motivation in paying for one. It's good to have international players but it feels like the fixture could be devised more fairly, so it doesn't affect so many home games for a club and so few for others.

Re: Latest date Mansfield could be moved for international
This I very much agree with. There's no way they couldn't fix the schedules so the same clubs weren't affected - or had the potential to be affected by - each International window.WhetstoneO wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 11:10 am Why not schedule the international break fixtures like Boxing Day/New years Day, if you're at home for one then you end up away for the other? 4 international breaks, home for two and away for two. Re: Latest date Mansfield could be moved for international
This is true, but I don't remember us every having even 2 rescheduled in the same season before (happy to be corrected if I'm wrong). I can barely remember it even happening once a season, and not even every season before. I include away games in that too, because they can be annoying if they get moved too, even if not so damaging for the Club's top line.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 9:44 am We've been really unlucky to have 3 3pm home games clash.
So what's happened? It's more than just the vagaries of the fixture list - it must also be some combination of (a) there being more international breaks than in previous years and (b) League One having more internationals than it used to (and of course than League Two and the National League did over recent years, which is more obvious).
