I think it is a very important issue and hats of to these protestors who include many young people in their ranks, all of whom are drawing attention to these important issues of climate change etc. Other big issues are the pollution of the seas and air, destruction of the fish stock and all forms of wildlife including their habitats, plastic pollution etc, the list is endless. We have only the one planet Earth that we live on, it must be protected for the good of all future generations of humans and also for the wildlife and plants etc in all their various forms.

I was brought up in the countryside so have learnt to love and respect all things connected with the natural world.
I was also brought up to practise and believe that you have to learn to help yourself, something mankind is plainly NOT doing in the way it is acting in its custodianship of the world. This profound young lady,has great wisdom and noble aims. She commands my respect far more than many world leaders who appear to be far more interested in short sightedness and greed, Trump for starters.
Amazing that Greta Thunberg contributes the driving force behind her own intense and determined nature is in some ways down to being diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), and selective mutism when she was around 11 years old.

Most genius people are on a different plain to the average person, Greta is not mental, she just sees and thinks differently to average people, as also did Newton, Einstein, etc.

By the way I run my life, I would imagine quite a low Carbon footprint. Live very modestly and grow most of my own veg for a start and cycle quite a lot. When I lived with my parents on a small holding, we were virtually self sufficient in most things.
