They have more than two strikers and recruited better in the transfer market . We now seem to have a team of bottle jobs .According to Richie nobody today with the heart and desire to make the shirt their own aport from Galbraith and Keeley . Incidentally I'm not including Jack Currie in this criticism because I think he's a good player who is streets ahead of Sweeney .

They've got a better manager & coaches. Same is true for other smaller/similar sized clubs like Exeter, Wycombe, Mansfield, Lincoln....

It struck me summer last year, after we’d been promoted as top two, they were under Steve Evans then of course, but how quick they were out the blocks in the summer transfer dealings. The signed 3-4 Posh players with decent L1 experience, Evans knew from his Posh days, Thompson being one of them who brought a lot of experience, and pulled in Piergianni from Oldham at the back, again lots of experience, a good player, quite a threat from corners too. And they were ahead of us all season, and rightly so, for me they showed what we should have done.

Again this season, under Alex Revell now, they have done well. It should be said they have actually scored one less goal than us so far, but they’ve only let in seven (to our fifteen), and only Exeter (six conceded from one less game) can better that.

We need to look and learn and change.

If Kelman scores first 5 minutes v Wrexham & Agyei scores either of his chances yesterday we'd be 3 points behind them. They aren't that far in front of us

Stevenage are doing better than us basically, because they have better players than us. It's a simple as that.

Our summer window acquisitions, were in the main, truly dreadful. Only Claire, was a decent signing, and Curry was a decent loan signing. The rest of the permanent signings, and the loan signings, were simply atrocious.

Our signing record in all windows in the last few years certainly hasn't been very good at best .

On top of all that, O'Neill and Graham are both Shadows of the player they were last year.

Unless the club break the bank (which I don't think they will), and bring in two or three really decent players, we are nailed on for relegation this season, which means all the good and hard work to get us here will have been for nothing

Which of their players are better than ours? The only ones I know are Pierluigi wotsit, Jamie Reid and Dan Kemp.

I’d obviously take Reid all day long but the defender is no better than Beckles and we all know about kemp already.

Disagree.

If you’re only playing 1 up top, then you can only have 2 strikers contesting that spot with either a youth or a forward thinking midfielder also able to step in if needed - such as DJ or Donley etc.

The problem is in order to get our best players on the pitch at the same time, Agyei and Kelman are both being played.

And if one gets injured like last season, then what? Or you need to change formation then what? Or your strikers are not performing then what? Brainless planning.

We don’t have the budget to have 3 senior players contesting 1 spot.

Would you argue we should have 3 senior, L1 standard keepers in our squad? Same thing. (Just 1 would be nice is a valid response to this question).

Agreed.

I’d get back to last seasons 4-3-3, put Agyei up top with Kelman on the bench, ONeill back out wide, properly wide, and Graham or Donely wide right. Galbraith as 10, Ball as 8, Brown as 4.

Relegation saves the club money, wages are slashed, therefore the budget goes further.
