Re: Leyton Eateries
Brick lane bagels are awful. Dont think they have any connection at all to the actual brick lane bagel shops. They definitely don’t in taste. Made the mistake of buying one in Westfield. Genuinely horrible, not even mediocre. How do you mess up a bagel?

Re: Leyton Eateries
Actually Orient seem to like businesses whose products look like an O - Dunkin’ donuts, bagels. Maybe we need a polo and hula hoop bar?

I wondered where they ended up. Used to enjoy the half time routines.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 3:09 pm Like it, maybe a residency from the cereal killer cafe where they only sell cheerios

No, that's Burnt.CEB2ElectricBoogaloo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 4:33 pm Is that the place in the arches on midland Road?
Smoke & Pepper is a social media sensation much closer to the ground and is often rammed even though they have a hygeine rating of just 3. TBF the grub is levels above what you get in the ground.

Decent they are making deals with better food providers but agree brick lane bagel co are crap and expensive.
Saying that, i are in the south stand last game which I haven’t done before. Dunno if it’s different from the west or they’ve improved this year but food was genuinely pretty good for what it was. Hot as well which you can never assume

Added bonus that listeners to Orient podcasts can use the hula hoops on fingers as a handy way of keeping track of the score

The actual food in Burnt is excellent. Probably the best BBQ joint around. But the place itself is cramped and chaotic.OyinbO wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 5:20 pmNo, that's Burnt.CEB2ElectricBoogaloo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 4:33 pm Is that the place in the arches on midland Road?

Re: Leyton Eateries
Went in there once after an absolute skinful. Good vibes, not as pricey as I expected, but the food was so intense I had to leave before eating it. Was good the next day though. The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 11:10 pmThe actual food in Burnt is excellent. Probably the best BBQ joint around. Not recommended for vegans or vegetarians, but it certainly gives Midland Road Station platforms a unique aroma on a still evening.

Always difficult to walk past a watering-hole if it close to the station concourse.....

Absolutely make you right. Gets on my t*ts when the wrong spelling is used. Bagel feels plastic and manufactured (and even Americanised) which is what Brick Lane Bagels are. (No hate, just there is no link, as I understand it, to BL shops).
