Northampton

Post by RedDwarf 1881 »

I was just thinking about our opponents on Saturday. I was just wondering how on earth have they managed to keep hold of Sam Hoskins for so long . I see him as their answer to Dean Cox . If he was an Orient player I don’t think we could have kept him for this long . Very few, if any of our best players re-sign for us. We either lose them to a higher club when their contracts expire or we sell them. I’m thinking this way because I think we could lose both Agyei and Galbraith in the Summer.

He's only hit double figures for them in the recent years and he's the wrong side of 30 now.

2015–16[49] League Two 34 6
2016–17[50] League One 25 3
2017–18[51] League One 27 2
2018–19[52] League Two 42 5
2019–20[53] League Two 37 8
2020–21[54] League One 46 7
2021–22[55] League Two 44 13

Indeed, how on Earth did no-one come calling for this generational talent?

Looking at his stats I understand that now but I still think he's a good player . Anyway hopefully he and the rest of the Northampton team will have an off day Saturday .
