Rotherham Ticket Exchange

Post by Cheshunto »

Just received an Email asking me to make my season ticket seat available if I can’t make next weeks game.
So I thought, wow it must be selling really well and close to capacity………
I looked at the availability and once again there are hundreds of empty seats for sale, so surely there must be zero chance of my season ticket seat being sold ??
I can’t understand why the Ticket Exchange is being used for this game………..
Anybody else have any ideas ??

Tuesday games are rarely sold out so I had the same question. Maybe an automated system to save time and get people used to using the exchange? I mean, for some pitiful £10 I rather pass my SC to a mate.

Because the Club would rather like to sell your ticket twice rather than just once.

I notice you only get the credit if an adult buys your seat. So what happens if its sold to a concession?

Yes, I do the same thing, I honestly can’t be bothered with the ticket exchange scheme and often just give my spare away to anyone who fancies coming along with me.
It works for the ‘sold out’ games like Wrexham for example, but not on a Tuesday night when there’s literally hundreds of empty seats.

I can't believe the abuse the ticket exchange system gets. My season ticket works out at £12.52 a match, and a potential £10 refund for a match I can't attend is considered derisory. Not sure what more is being expected, do you want the club to give me money back when my ticket isn't resold, or to give me back more than I paid.

Season Tickets themselves are good value, no question, I would just rather give my ticket away to family or a friend if I can’t get to a game myself.

And no-one is stopping you from doing that?

It isn’t a refund, its money off future tickets.

Well that works for me. I'm sure for the Rotherham game, the club could have chosen to just sell spare seats, and not give any credit back to supporters.

Its only an offer from the club. You do not have to accept it. You could watch that tenner dissolve as the game takes place; you could give it to a friend to use; you could try going (which was most of the reason you bought it in the first place). As the season card holder you have the choice.
