Re: RICKY WELLENS
I'd back Richie to sort this out but to change the ongoing recruitment issues change needs to happen further up.

Re: RICKY WELLENS
Much as I love the idea of Wellens watching batsh*t trump conspiracy videos, the collective wisdom of this board wouldn't full a thimble. Football fans don't have a clue.

Nigel T does, he's said it multiple times in the past. They will take some feedback into account though if RW's feedback hasn't impacted the recruitment process I highly doubt any forum posts will do anything!RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 5:40 pmWell, I'd be surprised if anybody didn't to see what we were saying . They won't be using this board for ideas on actual footballing issues. If they do, then we are f*cked.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 6:13 pmNigel T does, he's said it multiple times in the past. I've just listened to RW saying he put Beckles upfront for the last few mins, turns out Monkey Boy wasn't so far off with the idea after allMistadobalina wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 6:17 pmThey won't be using this board for ideas on actual footballing issues. Re: RICKY WELLENS
One dimensional, obsessed at playing it from the back no .attervthecway the other team are set up, cautious, boring at times and I'm a big head who is right all the time. Lower league Jose , but at a lower league club I actually still love him even with all that

Re: RICKY WELLENS
The board and so called transfer committee are a joke, we have a great manager and we will lose him and a lot of the fans who attend due to a totally unrealistic budget to bring in the quality of players needed to even get in the playoffs.
I am beginning to think the board do not want to see us promoted as it will cost too much money. The only way out of this is to bring in investors with the kind of money that will allow us to get the quality of players needed to get us promoted and sustain a position in the Championship.Without this I believe we will at best tread water and at worst be relegated.

If the club loses fans then they’re not fans are they ? Plus even if we’re relegated I would still keep Wellens, if he’d stay it’s a no brainer.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 7:00 pm The board and so called transfer committee are a joke, we have a great manager and we will lose him and a lot of the fans who attend due to a totally unrealistic budget to bring in the quality of players needed to even get in the playoffs.

Re: RICKY WELLENS
Not listened to the interview and I wasn’t joking about Beckles, what can we do to solve this problem. The answer has to obviously come from what we have and if to were me I would change our formation. Not 442 but I would play one up front and hope to sneak some results up until Christmas and hope the board bring in two adequate forwards. It’s vital we keep in touch with the bottom half. Easier said than done because this team as it is has relegation written all over it.gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 6:20 pmI've just listened to RW saying he put Beckles upfront for the last few mins, turns out Monkey Boy wasn't so far off with the idea after allMistadobalina wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 6:17 pmThey won't be using this board for ideas on actual footballing issues. Re: RICKY WELLENS
If we get relegated I can see no way that we could keep RW if he hasn’t left after yet another unsuccessful January transfer window.B.whitehouse+10more wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 7:08 pmIf the club loses fans then they’re not fans are they ? The club will lose paying fans on the gate until there is something worthwhile to watch and the prices come down.
There is in my opinion only one solution and that is to bring in investors that have the money to bring in quality proven players(not sick notes or loan players that other clubs don’t want) to get us promoted and sustain a position in the Championship to progress.

Re: RICKY WELLENS
I heard this argument that ‘we don’t want further promotion’ when JE was Manager. What do the owners say to RW? ‘Don’t win too many matches as we don’t want promotion.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 7:00 pm The board and so called transfer committee are a joke, we have a great manager and we will lose him and a lot of the fans who attend due to a totally unrealistic budget to bring in the quality of players needed to even get in the playoffs.

The club just refuse to provide enough funds to buy the quality players needed to get promoted.Yanzi Gravy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 10:54 pmI heard this argument that ‘we don’t want further promotion’ when JE was Manager.
