Re: Exiles Thread.
Ridiculous to say “he has to go”
He probably should have gone near post which looks open but of course it’s easy to say sitting here after the event.
Wrexham showed us a lot of respect and clearly came for a point but it showed we have nothing to fear in this league.
On Kelman, my concern is if he gets injured we would need to bring someone in as I think Agyei would need a better partner than Perkins up front.

Re: Exiles Thread.
Very good question, he's not even mentioned when Dave Victor runs through the players who aren't making the squad
Sending him out to an upper tier L2 side to play regular football would work well for both parties but we'd then need someone else in for depth.Correct , Sweeney isn't League One standard . I watched Jack Currie for the first time this afternoon and was very impressed . He's streets ahead of Sweeney .
Tbh none of those 3 should be near our squad for mid-table L1 and above. It's no surprise since they've been removed from pitch time performances have improved. Our youths need a full season of L2 men's football and Perkins can go back to Leeds, we need better.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 8:44 pm Obeiro, Perkins, Sweeney, and others aren’t even in the squad. Agree we could do with another striker

It’s unrealistic to have 25 pros who are all first teamers. And they aren’t near our first team squad. The fact we have those players not getting on the bench is a good sign that we have half decent depth.gshaw wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 7:39 pmVery good question, he's not even mentioned when Dave Victor runs through the players who aren't making the squad

They're not now but were for the first 4 games or so, too many youths in the XI and it showed. Much better balance at this point provided we can keep key players fitRich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 7:55 pm

Obeiro is unlucky to lose his place. The rest fair enough but you’re missing the point. They are now squad players which is an indication that we have better depth than the end of last season and the start of thisgshaw wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 8:00 pmThey're not now but were for the first 4 games or so, too many youths in the XI and it showed. And yet all we are talking about here is an every day commentary made by all football journalists about a striker missing an open goal. Maybe you just don't realise this happens with football.
I don't have to 'get over' anything but it sounds like you most certainly do have this problem to address.

Re: Exiles Thread.
Absolute rubbish,” leaving other players alone” Kelman couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo, sure he scores the odd goal he’s going to but so does James,Beccles and Brown but the ratio of chances missed by Kelman to his goals is a joke. The goal he got against Reading went straight through the keeper’s hands and a better keeper would have easily stopped it.I was right about Sweeney and I was right about Drinnan who by the way can’t even get into the Swindon side and Kelman is an exact copy of him. I also said Happe would be injured for long periods of the season and you won’t get more than six full games out of Graham. We need a central striker and to sign currie next window.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 2:52 pmKelman should have hit the target yesterday but had scored twice in the previous three league games and added one assist. Yes, Kelman should have tucked that chance away. Bad miss. It was a strikers dream opening on goal.
You slag off Kelman at every opportunity still while you are on at him you are leaving other people alone. 4 unbeaten and playing good football we are on the up and you still moan.

Explain the fact that in the January window Wellens was asked if one of the two strikers he wanted was Kelman and it was an emphatic no. Why am I a coward? last week it was Prop Joe wasn't it - anyone that disagrees and makes counter points to your negative jibberish you brand as a coward or keyboard warrior, tbh if there is a keyboard warrior on this board it's you, how many times do you offer people out with a "say it to my face moment" very odd behaviour.

‘Keyboard Worrier’ is brilliant.
Imagine getting all het up right now, just as the team starts to find its feet and launches the promotion push… some people will never be happy.

Re: Exiles Thread.
Unlike you I don’t sit on the computer all day posting (mainly crap tbh), I have other priorities and believe me you are right at the bottom of my list.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 9:38 amFunny how quick people like you come back with some sort personal attack yet can’t have a serious debate about footballing matters. So what’s your answer ????Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 9:14 amNice swerve, now answer my question why wasn’t Kelman one of the two transfers targets in the January window when given the choice if he were that good ? It’s much easier to attack someone’s personally and opinion but not answer my question. So answer it.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 12:44 am
Keyboard worrier .
He wanted to sign Kelman last pre-season but QPR wanted to keep him and he was/is in contract. Wigan went in for a loan after Christmas and he was allowed to go there in the second window so he wasn’t available to us in January as Wigan had first dibs.
Personal attacks what a load of bull shine, Coming from Mr “Say it to my face” that’s pure hypocricy. You keyboard worrier you anytime somebody disagrees with you it’s personal and you want to fight them what a man child you are, still carryon digging out the club staff and players, or for a change get behind them.
