The pension thing is legally watertight. It’s his money, he’s been paying into the BBC pension fund from his salary from the day he started working for them. They can’t refuse to pay it to him.

Also, the BBC pension fund isn’t owned or controlled by the BBC anyway, like my BT pension. It’s run by a separate company.

Exactly , correct. His biggest fear will be people suing him , those he took advantage of or skeletons in the cupboard.
