1..He went to Macc, with no experience, when they were bottom of the league, with a 5 point gap to the second bottom team

2 There was no money to spend

3 He saved them from relegation.....I believe they only lost 2 of their last 12 games, which is promotion form

So whats not to like there?

We are closer to the play offs than we are to relegation. Let's see where we are after a few more games before dramatic statements like that.
Another couple of games should see Campbell’s experience useful
@dOh Nut
So what is this all about ? Last week after Tuesdays game, you were singing in praise of R.E, now not even one week later, are you thinking of getting Sol Campbell in ? I take a more balanced view, unless things get really bad, surely give Ross around a 12 games or more to prove himself before any decision either way is made. IMO, without being behind the scenes to know what is going on, R.E comes across to me as more suited to being a soccer coach than a football League team manager, but down to those who actually work with the man to make the decisions, after all, that is what they are paid for.
I’m generally a very well balanced person but the first to admit football in general and Orient in particular can affect my moods dramatically. The highs of Tuesday followed by the lows of Saturday being a case in point.

Don’t want Sol Campbell. I genuinely want Ross to do well but have always thought it was a soft option choice. And I’m looking at our next three fixtures and cannot see where the points will be coming from. By the end of September I expect to see us in a relegation fight unless we improve, which is abysmal given our current squad. When I said give him the gig it was with the caveat of getting another couple of good results meaning it would take 8/9 games to get the additional couple. I was looking at our fixture list when I posted that meaning Crawley and at least one of the next three. With Crawley gone that couple is now much harder.

That record includes ALL games including FA Cup and League Cup, which is a little unfair

Last season in League 2 alone

Played 25 Won 7 Drew 10 Lost 8 games 31 points, which equates to around 15th. Not spectacular in its own right but given the circumstances he took over and operated under more than respectable. Not unreasonable to think he would do better with a club starting at 13th rather than 24th. I don't think Sol Campbell will come to Orient, but if he did, I believe he would do a pretty decent job.

No, just adding the context that he took over a team bottom of the league who had won one of their first 18 games and drew just 4 of them with a goal difference of -23 having let in 37 goals.

So up from 5% win rate to 28% win rate. Not sure that makes much odds, as it was probably the 10 draws that saved them.

Well Alistair Campbell, was once a regular player for Labour under Captain Tony Blair, but is now is currently available as a free agent after being released by team Labour. Flirted with joining with persistent relegation candidates Lib Dems, but decided against it. At the moment having a break, writing books and appearing on talk shows, he is good at that........talking a load of **** !!

I must admit that I showed emotion on Sunday as I listened to the cricket on the radio in my car whilst parked in the shade on a road in outer london. When Ben hit the winning runs, I clapped so hard for around two minutes !! Anyone walking by would have thought I was losing my marbles !!

That Sunday was Cricket at its best and that last wicket stand was something else !! Jack Leach, looks more like an accountant than a Cricketer, but what a TRUE sporting hero, a last wicket stand straight out of the comic book hero stories I used to read as a kid !! Ben Stokes, what a last year he has had and all his troubles have perhaps made him a better man. The shots he played, so unbelievable, it was all just great.
