Just still amazed we signed a loanee kid keeper to give the other kid loaner keeper competition for the number 1 spot.

This club is a joke. 2 f*cking years and this is the best we can do in replacing Vigs. What’s going on behind the scenes?

Every thing Frogger has said in this thread is spot on
The scouting in this club is a joke, as is the DOF.

The best 2 players on the pitch yesterday were the 2 loanees Shrews had, Castledine & O'Reily .
How come they get quality loans, & we get Perkins & Donley?

I tipped us for relegation before a ball had been kicked, based only on the recruitment, the total lack of quality in the squad.

Maybe the board will be happy if we go down.... Things are a lot less expensive in league 2!

Totally agree with agree with everything you say, once the home attendances start dropping there will be even less income for the club. The club are making false savings and without a much bigger budget and quality in recruitment we will struggle and quite possibly be relegated.

I would have thought he could be recalled but would he want to come back and would Richie want him back ?
For myself, I think even if Moncur can last only around half a game, better to have his quality on the pitch for that amount of time than not at all, As the old saying goes...Better to have half a loaf than none at all !

Probably way out of the club’s budgetary range but I wonder if the “ transfer committee “ gave any consideration to ex Ipswich Town striker Freddie Ladapo who seems poised to join Huddersfield as a free agent?

No chance, considering the club believes that loan players gives better value for money, no way would they consider someone that couldn't get a deal elsewhere.

No doubt there are some decent free agents out there, but we seem reluctant to spend at the moment

Its because the squad is good enough to comfortably finish mid table and that’s all they want

I hope you're right but it seems weaker than last season's in key areas, would be pleasantly surprised if this season ends up being comfortable by April time

Are you watching the same players as I'm watching?

If you think the squad is good enough to comfortably finish mid table, you need to give your head a wobble.

The squad is abysmal. The squad has relegation written all over it. Free transfers, Cheapies, & kids has made sure of that.
We have no quality in midfield, no one who can thread that clever ball through to the front men, mainly because El Miz wasn't replaced. We are pitifully weak upfront, and we're not great at the back either.

As things are, we are certainties for relegation.

Obviously, things can change in a season, like decent players coming in during January, but as it stands now, we're going down

Yes. The performances don’t match the results (aside from Shrewsbury). If this continues into the arse end of November, then worry.

Galbraith is one of the best players in league 1, don’t talk nonsense about there being no quality in midfield.
