Re: Jack Currie Signs
Some of these signings look soooooo young, makes me and Mrs NES feel sooooo old.
Mrs NES reckons some should still be in the 6th Form.

Re: Jack Currie Signs
Just spoke with my Dons mate and when I said we have signed Jack Currie on loan, his response was
Jack Currie is pure class, a quality player who is a top defender, who can also attack, he said, he is one of those exciting players you look forward to watching week in week out.
He never seems to lose a tackle, never gets beat for pace, will run all day long, and is top draw!
I am very excited to see Jack Currie after this endorsement.
Welcome Jack

Re: Jack Currie Signs
I agree . I thought Richie said he wanted a right sided winger and a central midfielder . Although good signings we ended up with a keeper and left back . Really disappointed we couldn't back Shaq Forde back .. This Summer has just proven we can't compete against other League One clubs when it comes to signing the best players .BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 8:55 pm RW ‘I want a right sided forward’
Ling ‘have a goalkeeper and left back on loan’

Re: Jack Currie Signs
in RW we trust, great we signed 2 players and pleased the GK & LB positions were addressed.
My concern is has the club let RW down again by not getting his attacking right winger he wanted?

Maybe we were about to sign Shaq Forde but at the eleventh hour Bristol Rovers came in with a good offer and signed him .

Re: Jack Currie Signs
This is an inspired loan . He signed for Oxford in July for a undisclosed fee. Obviously not happy . For us to get him on a fee which Lingy said in his late interview last night for a fraction of what he is being paid by Cxford Is truly unbelievable. Maybe we were after him before he signed for Cxford but could not match the fee. Well done Lingy.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 7:45 pmDon’t be, Currie is a major upgrade.
He Spoke with Idris who told him how much he loves the O’s. And told him it would be a great move.

Re: Jack Currie Signs
Oxford left back Joe Bennett injured and out until the new year, probably now regretting loaning out Jack

Yeah they wanted a fee for him, not another loanTop of the JES wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 10:55 pmWe enquired and was told no. confirmed by Travis on his latest Q&A video.Qin wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 10:37 pmDo you know for certain, the club wanted him back?Top of the JES wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 9:58 pm Forde isn't coming back, Watford have refused to loan him.

Re: Jack Currie Signs
Oh sh*t. I’ve only just realised this Currie was the one who ballsed up in Howlersgate. I thought it was a youth teamer or something.
How did he play other than that?

Re: Jack Currie Signs
I wasn't there but people on this board said he played well. Put it this way , I hope he doesn't get recalled back to Oxford because we need him . Actually , to be honest I'm surprised the club thought Sweeney could be first choice considering he struggled to make the bench last season . We should have had the LB situation sorted out before the season started .Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 9:29 pm Oh sh*t. Re: Jack Currie Signs
I suspect before the season started we wouldn't have got a better player than Currie, and Currie wasn't available then.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 1:20 pmI wasn't there but people on this board said he played well. To some people, repeating the same childish joke a hundred times is funny. Snide and Howlers being just two examples
