Top 2 did you forget the 1? We’re be lucky to finish above 21 without a decent striker and keeper.

After a dodgy start (3 losses, wasn't it?) Richie was able to mould a team with last seasons budget into play off chasers. If we'd recruited properly in January - bringing in 1 proper L1 striker rather than 2 kids who weren't L1 ready - we may well have hobbled over the line and made the top 6.

Richie is still here. We are told that the budget is 10% higher. Therefore, whether you are a new or old fan, it is not unreasonable to expect Richie to produce the same kind of performance levels across this season as last.

Seems like we've held onto a lot of the old fans from the 'Little Leyton Orient' days who have no ambition.
Nail on head. Richie even spoke about it directly in a recent interview about needing to change the culture at the club in that regard.

We had a side that was mid-table and could've gone a bit further if not for the usual (slow) recruitment failure in the January window. Therefore reasonable to expect that to be the level for this season with some of the problem areas addressed.

The fact we've ended up weaker is where the discontent comes in.

Same for me RD, I'd be content to see us stay up.

We seemed to pick up a lot of entitled types from the NL days who "expect", based on 2 recent promotions. 4 games in ,the dummies are already being launched from their prams.

The rest of us O's fans chooose to live in the real world.

And there’s also a lot of fans who expect Orient to be challenging for automatic promotion every year.
Not every year but after narrowly missing the play offs last year my expectation was the play offs as a minimum this year.
Unfortunately it appears that the club do not have sufficient funds or ambition to make this a reality. In my mind without a massive injection of money from new investors our club will be in the same position year after year or at worst relegated.
It makes me wonder if the club really are ambitious or just happy to exist in this league with poor results or at worst get relegated.

I think Nigel Travis would agree with you to an extent because I believe he’s trying to find new investors

What’s wrong with getting relegated this season then being a top 7 club in L2?
Realistically L1 is our ceiling, unless we get a new ground and new investors.
I’m happy to see the lads win, be that against Barrow or Bolton.
All this hankering after the Chsmpionship will end in tears.
We’ve battled against relegation for most of the time I’ve watched the O’s, give or take a few glorious seasons.
Let the relegation battle commence!

That’s talk that Richie does not want to hear. If we are relegated this year he is so ambitious that he will be gone. This clubs limitations are all to see and if we don’t get new investment we will remain as we are but without RW.

Agree, RW’s ambition will soon outstrip ours. I think our bod be very happy if we manage to stay in L1 with a bunch of kids/loans/sicknotes.
Be surprised if RW lasts out the season. Bod have run out of cash. Parry partially to blame for that.
