HT. We've had loads of possession without ever looking like creating a clear chance.

I suppose they had one chance and took it .Wally Banter wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 3:50 pm HT. We've had loads of possession without ever looking like creating a clear chance.

Re: Matchday/Exiles thread vs Shrewsbury
Very poor match, very disappointing, sloppy play all round for us for the goal.
Same old again, 74% possession, and no threat from us, if we are going to win this, we need to move the ball quicker in 2nd half, we are passing the ball so slow and very predictable.
We won’t play many teams as poor as Shrewsbury in L1, organised team, who will now just sit and play for 1-0.
Over to you RW, you need to work some magic during HT team talk.

The only thing that consistently counts is a shot on our goal, equals goal.
Re: Matchday/Exiles thread vs Shrewsbury
How often does that one chance decide the match. Got to find Kelman and Agyei and awful lot more.

Re: Matchday/Exiles thread vs Shrewsbury
We don't push the ball forward enough. Still too many sideways and backwards passes
Also, not enough balls to the front men
We are playing the worst team in the division, if we can't beat them, we'll beat no-one,& we'll be relegated

Re: Matchday/Exiles thread vs Shrewsbury
We have games against Stockport and Wrexham coming up so I'm concerned we'll have no points after six games and be adrift at the bottom of league one .

Re: Matchday/Exiles thread vs Shrewsbury
Tempo needs turning up
Shrewsbury will sit back, so we need to be more assertive from the start and get the ball wide and in the box quicker and force them back or into a mistake.
RW needs to grill the players and the players need to look at themselves and react positively.

Yes, we’ve had a lot of the ball but also loads of sideway and back passing

Re: Matchday/Exiles thread vs Shrewsbury
Casteldine & Oreily for Shrewsbury look 2 good attacking players, running rings round our defenders.
We can’t get the ball, chasing shadows.
We are really poor
Backward, sideways passing, no attacking threat at all at the moment

First time I had ever heard of this drink ''Poitin''RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 4:10 pmWhatever it is , it's strong . Poitin maybe
A drop of the Cratur: Poitín-making in the old days
In his latest Times past column, Jonathan Smyth looks at the history and tradition of poitín making in Ireland...

Re: Matchday/Exiles thread vs Shrewsbury
Good , at least . I'd now happily settle for a draw from this " mustn't lose game "

Yep, they look very good players,
Excellent save from Hemming
Meanwhile we’ve bought on some youngster called Pratley

Re: Matchday/Exiles thread vs Shrewsbury
We are making Shrewsbury look like Birmingham
Sweeney is having a Sweeney game
Heavy touches, losing possession
Can’t cross
Can’t wait for Currie to start at LB

Re: Matchday/Exiles thread vs Shrewsbury
We can’t keep hold of the ball, no one in midfield putting foot on the ball, or driving forward with the ball, every time we get the ball we lose possession.
This is really really poor.
Just shows what Idris meant to this team.
