Jack Currie Signs
Oxford United left back and former AFC Wimbledon player of the year on our radar.
Only signed in summer but yet to make a squad.

Re: Jack Currie Signs
Are we actually going for proper depth with 4 full backs or will one be on their way out the door? Glad to have another option at LB now for sure.

Re: Jack Currie Signs
For me Sweeney, passionate, lovely - but seems always 50/50 chance of having great or crap game. Maybe something in the mentality not yet there. Great squad player I would say providing something different.
On Currie - how have they signed someone who was the best player at Wimbledon last season and after three or four games decided he is not wanted? What's the story?

Re: Jack Currie Signs
Jack Currie (LB) - [Oxford - Leyton Orient] - Loan
League Two to the Championship is a big step up in any position. Is the leap biggest for full-backs? All of a sudden the erratic, inconsistent wingers they are defending against in League Two are Jack Clarke, Tom Fellows, Morgan Whittaker.
Jack Currie hasn’t even had the chance to play in the Championship since joining Oxford from AFC Wimbledon, but Des Buckingham has clearly decided he is happy with Joe Bennett and Greg Leigh as his left-back options.
Orient feels like a nice spot to land for Currie, and it’s an excellent pick-up for a team with only one natural left-back, Jayden Sweeney. Currie is tenacious, strong in the tackle, and motors up and down the flank all game. His final ball is not a strength, but has been improved over the last few seasons.

Re: Jack Currie Signs
Don’t be, Currie is a major upgrade.
He Spoke with Idris who told him how much he loves the O’s. And told him it would be a great move.

Decent enough on paper but another loan… an area we were lacking a bit for cover but still holes I hope we can fill

Re: Jack Currie Signs
Happy with this. Covers an area we were clearly short in and the fact that Oxford spent a decent sized amount on him in the summer suggests he's decent.
We're one forward away from having a complete squad I reckon, but doubt the budget stretches that far.

Try not to keep constantly having a go at Hemmings. I'm sure he didn't play badly on purpose.

More chance of an outpouring of love from Bolton , Charlton, and Birmingham than our fans.
