Re: Brentford
Why are you making it all about money, you are basically saying it’s a rubbish draw, as we will only make £40k??Rubex Kube wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 11:09 am10K in attendence paying what £10 -12 quid, so £100 k raised, after expences £80k & then half that to £40k, Top 6 & half empty 50,000+ stadia so minimum 25k crowd, you do the math, It's a sh/tty draw.Stan1972 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 9:18 amGiven the chance, we would love to be in, As you say ‘crappy little Brentford’s position’Rubex Kube wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 11:10 pm
coz its crappy little Brentford, be 10k or less at it. Make no money from that. 25 k plus at one of the top 6 in half empty stadiums, no new signings now
established Prem team.l, with brand new stadium
It’s a good draw,, prem team, local and easy to get to, and possibility it will probably be televised as local London derby, with giant killing opportunity.
Bring it on - Bees v O’s
Who cares about how much we will make, I see it as a chance to go and beat a Prem team away from home in a local derby, and progress to round 4 (last 16), any money gained in the process, is a bonus.

Yep I know, people just can’t accept, Brentford like Brighton are a club run the right way, with good owners, board and manager, and we have a chance to beat them in their own back yard.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 4:03 pm Some people are really jealous of Brentford’s success

Re: Brentford
Or if he had also taken over in the mid 90's we might be in a higher league. And of course with a likely, and if needed, 20,000 seated capacity stadium.

Re: Brentford
Brentford fan in peace here. Firstly, just wanted to say that a really good way of getting to the Gtech Stadium is to get the Elizabeth Line to Ealing Broadway and then the 65 bus from outside the station to the ground. The 65 also passes South Ealing on the Piccadilly Line.
I predict it will be a full house or near enough for your visit - lots of us remember 2013/14 and, really, don't be surprised if you see a few tin foil FA Cups with Russell Slade's pic on. We really are - all these years on - still celebrating that 2014 win as if we had won the cup! Of course, that's only us older fans!.
The Bees/Orient -all a lottery. We've been so lucky with lifelong Brentford fan Matthew Benham and what his vision and money have delivered. Without that, we might have gone to Woking and still be there. Feet on the ground. Hope the game is a good occasion and you, as one of our historic long time rivals, will be very welcome (as long as you don't sneak a win.......). You're not QPR!

TFL have finally relented and allowed Gunnersbury to open after matches, though the change snuck up on me. haven't seen the crowds first hand yet though.Stamford O wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 5:03 pmDoesn't let passengers on for hour after game and small platform also as per brentford fans guideLong slender neck wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 8:06 am 15 min walk from Gunnersbury (district line) station

"Gunnersbury station is now open after matches, but please note that platforms will be busy."
The closest route to a train is to enter Kew Bridge station via the access tunnel on Lionel Road, virtually outside the south stand. Have never had to queue for more than 10 minutes but it's pot luck whether it might be 10-20 mins gap to the next train. They normally put on/divert a couple of extra trains stopping at Clapham Junction and Waterloo only.
Also to get there you have to walk against the home fans walking in the opposite direction

Re: Brentford
Home fans are being charged £10 each and under 18s are free with a paying adult. So should be a sell out, or close to.
I'm sure you will get a slightly increased allocation unless the police sh!t themselves, we gave Gillingham an extra block, more than we would give a PL team. About 2,000.
