Re: Hemming starts v Millwall (exiles thread)
As comfortable as you like. Millwall didn't have a single chance and we had opportunities to score more. Everyone was at least decent and half the team were excellent. That was basically an entirely second choice central midfield and we were easily the better team in that position.
Millwall were toilet but if we keep that level going, this season will be fine. The midfield position has depth and quality, we have good centre backs and with players returning, quality options for out wide. I think we're a full back, striker and possibly a keeper (should Hemming not find his feet) short of having a proper go at the play offs, but am fairly relaxed that we will be alright overall.

Re: Hemming starts v Millwall (exiles thread)
Great performance tonight but in truth we were probably better on Saturday v Birmingham.
Hemming again didn’t have a shot to save………Millwall will surely be joining us in L1 if this is anything to go by, they were awful.
Prats’ was excellent as was Beckles, Sweeney, Cooper, and Dan Agyei……..Good game management, as usual, let’s hope for a top PL team in the next round.

Great result.
Clean sheet for Hemming with do him the world of good, even though in truth he didn’t have much to do. Millwall were pants.

No matter what the competition its always very pleasing to beat Millwall . Well done Orient and well done to Hemming for keeping his first clean sheet . Hopefully that will do his confidence a lot of good going forward.

My son watched the game and he also told me that as well . Did Millwall put out their strongest side ?The Reverend wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 10:39 pm Great result.

I'd settle for pulling a big Premiership club in the next round and a big pay day .

Or Walsall. Couple of real potential stinkers in there.

Re: Hemming starts v Millwall (exiles thread)
Anyway, thought we were really good tonight. Warrington was great, as was Cooper, Sweeney did well too. Agyei was superb and Beckles was magnificent. Perkins has a great touch but needs to bulk up considerably, Jaiyesemi didn't do much to put himself in mind for a starting spot and sort of backs up RW's moans about the state of our bench. And pleased for Hemming that he had absolutely nothing to do.
Millwall were absolutely dogsh!t though, whether they changed their XI around a lot or not. Risible performance.

No idea, but I’d be astonished if that’s a first team Championship side. Must have been reserves.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 10:52 pmMy son watched the game and he also told me as well . Got a big feeling for Man Utd at home, or the Richie Wellens derby as it shall be known

I wasn't able to watch the game tonight because I was at work so it''s very pleasing to hear those players did well this evening .Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:01 pm Anyway, thought we were really good tonight. Re: Hemming starts v Millwall (exiles thread)
Think the odd seeding system they've introduced for teams in Europe improves our chances of a good draw a little, but next round has Preston away written all over it.

We've still got time to bring in one or two more players so DJ had better buck his idea's up or he won't even make it to our bench . My Mate at work is a Millwall supporter so I'll be asking him what side they had out tomorrow .Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:01 pm Anyway, thought we were really good tonight. Made 8 changes to their starting XI from the weekend, a 0-0 at Hull. The Reverend wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 11:04 pmNo idea, but I’d be astonished if that’s a first team Championship side.
