I wouldn’t think anyone on here hates Sweeney the simple fact is,just like the keeper is at the moment Sweeney is a weakness in the team. He struggles physically,often gets on the wrong side of his opponent,always looks and passes backwards,doesn’t look for attacking options,never attacks the space in front of him. Now if he can correct all those faults fair enough,however he’s very often left exposed by the left sided player in front of him but again that’s down to him to tell that player to help cover, just as it is for him to support the attack when needed.

In his Millwall preview video he mentions wanting the subs to come in and sprint, that's particularly fitting for DJ who thus far doesn't seem to have broken out of a canter

He also said our subs made no impact, well they won’t if they come on with 3 minutes to go

My interpretation of that is the guys on the bench aren’t doing enough in training either. If he felt they were going to make an impact he would bring them on earlier. Dan easily got twenty minutes Saturday and got involved.

DJ looks heavy and slow to me and Perkins has done very little. The only thing I can recall him doing is giving Galbraith a hospital ball against Bolton.

I’m showing my age but when Gazza came through for England, Robson said they needed two balls. One for Gazza and one for the rest of the team. It’s very early days but they aren’t exactly giving RW a selection headache.

He was saying about Bolton and Charlton subs making a difference when they came, where as ours didn’t. On the same point, I noticed Birmingham made some of their subs early something we seem loathe to do

Again that's to do with squad depth and how much other clubs can invest in their squad . Maybe there is only so far you can go with freebies and young loan players .

Is Sweeney a good left back for this division? No, he is not. Are we weak on our left side? Yes we are. Do we have a decent centre forward or target man? No we haven’t. Richie says we need a right winger which proves to me is Graham isn’t fit no he is not. Will he ever be fit,no he won’t. Why did we sign him, why did we resign Beccles? Why did we resign Pratley. was Kilman playing better on the right? Yes he was,did Dan A play better wide yes he did,have the board let Richie down yes they have.is the new right back good enough,I think he is improving game by game. why is Donnelly in the side at the moment because in my opinion he’s not up to speed,why did we resign James if he has a problem with his attitude and fitness according to Richie? we need a new goalkeeper because this guy isn’t getting any better for awhile we need a new left back because we are weak in that position and we need a new target man,are we going to get any of these? We might get one if we are lucky, probably, at 5 to midnight on deadline day again if we are lucky.

But apart from all that everything is flowing along quite nicely.

Did you notice how a load of Birmingham attacks were coming down our left hand side . It was almost as if Birmingham identified Sweeney as our weakness . Both of Birmingham goals looked similar with Players going around Hemming to our left .

And yet neither of their goals were down to targeting him

I thought most their attacks came down our right hand side. The bulk of the attacking play came through their 7 or 26 on that side.
