Lemmings. 2. Ultimately it’s his mistakes that have led us to nil points. Get rid or it will happen again. Nothing about him suggests league one goalkeeper.
Sweeney. 6. Did what he needed to do. No real threat going forward.
Clare. 6. Just a bog standard lower league journeyman. Is there a signing this summer that has markedly improved us?.Hemmings has made us worse.
Happe. 6. Mostly assured and did well up against May.
Cooper. 4. I missed the second goal but it was Coopers mistake right?
O’Neill. 5.5. Meh. Too lightweight.
Brown. 7.5. MOM. Had a great game. Always available and can’t remember him giving the ball away.
Gailbraith. 7. Nice finish and full of running.
Obiero. 7. We played pretty well across the midfield. Birmingham had limited chances second half although you could argue they had another gear if they wanted to use it.
Donley. 6. Some good moments combined with some poor decisions as you would expect from a kid learning the game.
Kerman. 6.5. One nice turn and shot. Ran his socks off. I guess he is the one bright spot of our summer activity.
Subs. Agyei. 6.5. Couple of good runs and shots. Should have done better with a header. Others 6.
Wellens. 6. I wonder if he will be off. Exciting summer signings they said. Hmmmmm. We are the same team as last season without our best player.
Birmingham. 6. Piddled around with it nearly resulting in numerous chances as our press was great all game, gifted two goals.
Ref. 5. Pinickity.
Sweeney. 6. Did what he needed to do. No real threat going forward.

Re: Ratings
Birmingham fans on Twitter reckon we’ll be up there based on that performance. Was a decent show outside of the keeper and a pretty unlucky ricochet

The keeper situation is quite serious. We currently have a choice between two guys who are nowhere near league 1 standard. Needs to be rectified asap.

Re: Ratings
Ratings probably a tad harsh as yes, we did do ok. Just got the impression that Birmingham had another level if they needed it and rather coasted in the second half.

Brown maybe at fault for the 2nd with the hurry up pass to Copper giving him little time to control the ball.Beradogs wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 5:13 pm Lemmings. 2. Re: Ratings
I agree but out of the two of them Howes looks the better keeper . Hemming clearly isn't League One standard and needs to be sent back to Middlesborough. . .He's not the keeper we need and you just know he'll make more costly mistakes if we keep him . Get rid . We still have a week left until the transfer window closes to bring in a new keeper .The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 5:19 pm The keeper situation is quite serious. Re: Ratings
Watch the highlights back and you'll see Sweeney lose the ball for the second goal then Brown plays a shocking backpass that hits Cooper. Probably would've gone straight in had it reached Hemming anyway.

Re: Ratings
Too weak, same as how he got bundled off the ball against Bolton. He's not ready for League 1 at present imo should've been sent out on loan to League 2 this season first, but that would mean recruiting senior pros in and the club doesn't seem to want to do that now...BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 10:11 pmIncredibly harsh to blame him, it was a high bouncing ball

Re: Ratings
That's what's really annoying . So far nobody has outplayed us but thanks to Hemming we're joint bottom of the league with no points . We're away to Shrewsbury next Saturday . Let's see what happens .Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 5:15 pm Birmingham fans on Twitter reckon we’ll be up there based on that performance. Sweeney was partly at fault for the goal last week at Charlton as well . Puts in a weak challenge that comes off his leg straight in to Berry's path and GOAL !gshaw wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 10:04 pmWatch the highlights back and you'll see Sweeney lose the ball for the second goal then Brown plays a shocking backpass that hits Cooper. He put in a powder puff challenge like last week . In my opinion Sweeney and Hemming are our two weak links . The rest of the team looks OK and deserve more than they've gotten .BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 10:11 pmIncredibly harsh to blame him, it was a high bouncing ball

Re: Ratings
If Kelman is the answer I don't know what the question is, last two games he hasn't managed to occupy the defenders at all, the team is calling out for a focal point striker, six foot, who can run, bit of strength, be the foil for others
