Thanks for your honesty, Richie.Qin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 10:24 am I don't believe Richie will go, but If he did we deserve it
In recent years he's been offered jobs at Bradford, & Barnsley, and turned them down, showing loyalty to us, even though both of those are bigger clubs, both would have paid him more, and both are much nearer his (then ) family home.
The board here have not backed Richie for his loyalty, giving him untried youngsters.
I bet at Blackpool, they wouldn't give him Perkins or Warrington!
If I were him, I'd be gone

Re: Blackpool next manager
Richie is settled at Orient .With that record going to Blackpool would be a dodgy move so why risk it . It would only really be worth it for a big Lancashire Championship club like Blackburn, Preston or Burnley . I just wish the club could give Richie a bigger budget for players

Re: Blackpool next manager
He'll go eventually - and maybe in the not too distant - when the right job comes up but a job like this, with such a regular turnover of managers may not be that attractive after he got burned at Salford.
Mind you, which club doesn't have a high manager turnover these days? Stay somewhere 2 seasons and you're straight into the top 10 longest serving in the League.

Very true and a sad indictment of the impatience for success in the football manager merry-go-round circus.

It could be on the 'cards' that he will go.

Re: Blackpool next manager
Reading some of these posts I get the feeling some people actually want Richie to go . Edging their fcuking bets and it’s getting irritating. I’ll tell you this, if Richie leaves this season I strongly fancy us to get relegated so be careful what you wish for.

Re: Blackpool next manager
Only an out of work manager would take the Blackpool job right now. It's not the most stable environment, and the remit will be to work with what you've got, make the odd desperate signing in January, and, at the very minimum, a strong showing in the play-offs
