Debatable.

The chaos caused by bechetti has - after loads of time, money and effort - been calmed. We are now back in L1, established(ish), trusted to loan in top Premier league prospects, getting prospects into our youth system and towards the first team squad etc.

The damage inflicted by Hearn can never be undone.
1995 - Orient, albeit skint held the long Jease at nominal rent on its stadium. A stadium that could have been redeveloped to meet modern standards with a decent capacity.

2014 - Orient, are tenants with a short lease at a rent of £180,000 pa(?) with a stadium incapable of any expansion and a capacity of less than half it was 20 years prior.
That's another reason a new ground somewhere else in Waltham Forest would be desirable .However making it happen is another story

Bournemouth play in the Premier League and they have a ground which is a similar size to ours
Bournemouth also have large American backers and a shitload of cash from Sky each season, so their small gate receipts don’t bother them at all

That’s what the Hearn’s want. They’ll love it when we finally clear off and they can turn the whole site into housing.

I just hope we stay here long enough, rotting away in L1 or L2, that Bazza doesn’t live to see his grand plan come to fruition.

I'm more worried about the current owners than the old one.

He might move Brentwood there . Once we leave he will put a small square stadium there for boxing/darts, thus keeping the sporting caveat and build apartments on the rest. He'll make millions out of that, and i'm sure he will be gloating in the press again about his brilliant business acumen, whilst f*cking over a small community football club.

In other words, a lot of things COULD HAVE happened but didn't.
Sure. But they didn’t.

Barry's unrealised ambitions for Orient may yet come to fruition...

You are looking back with rose tinted glasses and missing key factors. There was no money in football back then - and not the appetite for owning clubs either.

I've never liked Hearn, before he had any association with us, during, and after.
He doesn't do anything unless there's an earner in it for him

Brentwood beware
