The unfortunate aspect from last season was because of our poor start we were always playing catch up . This season I can't see us picking up any points until Shrewsbury where I think things will start to improve for us .

I don't think our squad is strong enough to get us into the play offs but I don't think we'll go down either . I predict roughly a mid table finish . To be honest, at this moment in time I would take that with both hands .

Two games against two teams expected to be promoted and fine margins, not ideal the way the fixtures came out again but it is what it is.

Out of our first eight league games seven are against teams who are expected to do well this season . I don't think we could have had a tougher eight games .

So would I . We can't really compete for players off the pitch compared to the likes of Wrexham , Birmingham ,or Huddersfield so just staying in League One is all I want .

If anything it’s the other way around. I think the club could be holding back Richie’s full potential by giving him a budget that can’t compete with at least half the teams in our league. Can you imagine Richie being the manager of Huddersfield or Birmingham, they would absolutely run away with it . Incidentally, I’m not blaming the club because we can only spend what we can afford.
