Re: Jamie Donley heading our way
Would be great if we can get him. Selected in the first team 3 times last year as sub. Transfer market rate him as £1.5 m asset. Talked about as being the next Harry Kane. Cannot see us getting him on loan

Re: Jamie Donley heading our way
It sounds like Donley would be a good signing . If we got him I hope it's a season long loan . It did a lot of good for El-Miz , Shaq Forde and Sol Brynn being on loan with us . interesting to see that we might also be interested in one of their young keepers . Hemming has not had a great start at Orient so who knows .

Re: Jamie Donley heading our way
Would be a pretty raw bunch of options after Agyei and Kelman, but we need the numbers.
That'd leave another midfielder for the attacking midfielder role and potentially another fullback?
Can't figure out how we're going to bring our wingers back into the team in the new set up, our squad doesn't feel that well set up for how Wellens now wants to play, we spent last season recruiting for a team that plays with two wide attackers and are now shoehorning O'Neill, who was out best player second half of last season, into a position that isn't his favoured.

Wonder if we might make a loan move for Jamie Donley NI striker after tomorrows game, he would be an excellent option off the bench for us quick and a good finisher.

Yep good move from us if it happens - thought it might.

Re: Jamie Donley heading our way
Donley is actually pretty versatile, can apparently play as a CAM, and has been used by Spurs as a Left Back during pre-season, so ticks the boxes in terms of Wellens liking players that can play multiple positionsMistadobalina wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 10:23 am Would be a pretty raw bunch of options after Agyei and Kelman, but we need the numbers.

I've seen a lot of posts from Spurs fans etc saying he's quality and Birmingham fans seem disappointed they aren't getting him as that was rumoured, but lets see what happens, potentially good addition to squad

Re: Jamie Donley heading our way
Definitely think Donley would be a useful addition - im more interested to see we are interested in their keeper, if true that says a lot about our current options
also a certain ex-Orient keeper (Dean Brill) is their academy goalkeeping coach

Re: Jamie Donley heading our way
He’s on agyei level all day long. 20 goal involvements (goals and assists) last year in 20 appearance. Just YouTube some of his goals and you can see he knows where the net is.
For Brum to be in for him aswell then he must be half decent considering they’ve spent millions on players

Re: Jamie Donley heading our way
Due to Fulham keeping Stansfield, Birmingham might become a bit more keen. The downside for his development would be less game time at Brum.Jaggsy1979 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 10:46 amDonley is actually pretty versatile, can apparently play as a CAM, and has been used by Spurs as a Left Back during pre-season, so ticks the boxes in terms of Wellens liking players that can play multiple positionsMistadobalina wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 10:23 am Would be a pretty raw bunch of options after Agyei and Kelman, but we need the numbers.

Re: Jamie Donley heading our way
Absolutely . We helped players like El-Miz and Shaq Forde develop so I think we can do the same thing for Donley . I certainly think he would get a lot of game time with us this season . It would be a good loan move for him and us . Plus being local to Tottenham "might" also work in our favour.gshaw wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 2:18 pmFingers crossed, sounds like he would be a great additionJaggsy1979 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 2:15 pm Latest Twitter/X Updates suggest that Jamie Donley has signed a new 4 year deal at Tottenham until 2028 and will head out on loan to Leyton Orient for the season!

Archibald is scheduled to return by January so possibly that’s a factor?

Re: Jamie Donley heading our way
I doubt that would be the case . Theo has been out injured for about a year and will need time to get back up to speed . Hopefully there would be an option to extend Donley's loan until the end of the season .redintheface wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 7:09 pmArchibald is scheduled to return by January so possibly that’s a factor?

Sky news saying January too, but they may just be picking up on the feeds of others.
Get him sorted; in training tomorrow and in the squad for Saturday. Lets see the lad in action!!

Re: Jamie Donley heading our way
Seriously this would be such a quality signing, my Spurs mates said he is top quality and too good for L1, I will believe it when It is officially confirmed.
An added bonus would be GK Josh Keeley.
That would just leave a LB
