Shaq Forde
Noticed that he didn't feature in Watford's squad at the weekend. Could he be the winger we are after?

Re: Shaq Forde
Already been discussed. I understand they would have wanted him back to have a look at properly. But he isn’t ready for Championship football. Another season at L1 would have been ideal.
Not playing football isn’t going to help his development.

Re: Shaq Forde
Exactly ,another season with us would do him a lot of good . He already knows the club so won't need any time to settle down . He'd be a good signing .Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 8:54 am Already been discussed. I understand they would have wanted him back to have a look at properly. Re: Shaq Forde
He could play as one of the 2 up top, could play in our plan b formation of 4-1-2-2-1 or back wide in a 4-3-3 if we revert to that.
I’d like to think we’ve been in constant contact with club and player over the summer and this could still happen.

Re: Shaq Forde
Be great if this would happen. Watford know he will get good game time here, if he went to one of the L1 ‘big boys’ that might not be the case, also we’re very local for Watford.
Can’t see Shaq playing in the Championship this season, so hope we can do it.
We deffo need more forwards. The idea is to bring on Perkins gradually, as we did with Shaq. But lack of numbers is forcing our hand.

Re: Shaq Forde
Shaq developed well with us last season . if he isn't going to feature for Watford this season it would make sense for them to let him come back to us for a season . It would be a win win scenario.PKM wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 12:08 pm Be great if this would happen. Re: Shaq Forde
i suspect we have moved on. Kelman keeps Forde out of the front line where we need a more robust 3rd man; Perkins was brought in to be Shaq's replacement (?) and O'Neill occupies the left side - in addition to having Jordan Graham back in a week.

Re: Shaq Forde
Even last season Shaqs wage put him towards the top of our earners but was subsidised by Watford paying a sizeable chunk of it, RW was asked by DD if we would try and sign him this season but RW said he doubted if Watford would let him go and his wages would be an issue. I suspect they won’t want to pay as much this season if he goes out on loan so may be an issue.

Re: Shaq Forde
We should be prepared to pay more this season, he’s a much bette player and we know what we’re getting, no risk involved.
After shipping out Drinnan, Ruel,Piggot and Shaq, there should be enough money to bring in more than Kelman and Pipkins.

Re: Shaq Forde
Watford are playing MK Dons tonight in the League Cup and no starting place for Forde and not even given a place on the subs bench ?Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2024 5:16 pm We should be prepared to pay more this season, he’s a much bette player and we know what we’re getting, no risk involved.
